Upper middle class people have their own share of unhappiness, suffering, mental illness and everything else that makes the 99% "normal". People with money and resources, however, can use money to make sure their dysfunctions do not climb out of the closet. The rest of us live in the clos... |

no "normal" life but there is a life that most upper-middle class people lead, versus the life of the rest of the 99%. some people lead wonderful lives, most of us lead somewhat less than wonderful lives. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRT9TGaVxITg706cwtqiakn_ev3nttz... |

Maybe he simply realized he didn't have any chemistry with you in person and didn't see himself in a relationship with you? That happens sometimes after people meet each other. Don't take it so personally. It just is what it is. Accept the situation and move on with your life. Girl, you've been play... |

Not sure what Rainbow Dash has to do with your post. but ok. it was [I believe] a reference to my comment, " ...there has got to be a pony underneath all that [stuff]." oh ok, I thought he was somehow was saying Rainbow Dash was homosexual. :| well, jerry falwell [RIH] thought tinky winky... |

I can't possibly know if you have the same biochemical cause of your depression.. but I have read that 70% of people on the autism spectrum are sensitive to salicylate acids. It's a very inexpensive thing to try out to see if soaking your feet in epsom salts or taking epsom salt baths or using epso... |

A couple of years ago I had the worst depression of my life that lasted for 5 months or so. It included passively suicidal thoughts. I put myself through written cognitive behavioural therapy for several weeks. I learned a lot, but the CBT wasn't working.. my depression scores continued to get worse... |

I don't get the whole selfie duck-face look for girls. I like that it's made fun of by others and people have, for the most part, stopped doing it. I don't take or post very many selfies anywhere EVER. I've noticed I look a little awkward in some and delete them until I snap one that looks OK. In pa... |

My audio sensitivity was pretty high in the past, along with anxiety. I had headphones in for over a year almost ALL the time - I'd keep them on the lowest volume setting locked to the local happy hippy radio station for some pleasant background noise to drown out real world background noise. I'd le... |

Have a financial cushion. Don't rent a place you can BARELY afford to make the monthly rent payments on. Budget for utilities/internet etc if it's not included. Hopefully have a friend/family member nearby to call on for help if and when you really need it. Get into a routine of keeping your place c... |

I'm in a good place this Christmas season. I had a rough NYE a couple years ago where, even though the NYE party was in this house, I stayed in my room and avoided the world - so I Get how difficult the holidays can be for some, even when the party is mere feet away from you vs. being isolated and l... |

I used to feel that way when my symptoms were strong. Now that I have myself under control, I haven't really felt that way much since I'm well on my way to a "normal" life. Sure, many of my friends are married with families of their own and all that.. so there's still a bit of jealousy th... |

I take a multivitamin & several other vitamins/minerals, but I've found that the best thing I use that helps reduce anxiety is an epsom salt lotion on my skin to absorb the magnesium sulphate in order to detox salicylate acids. Another anti-anxietal I use is orange blossom water - just a spritz ... |

Sounds like you need to deal with your depression & mental health first and foremost before you should be seriously looking for a partner. I hope that doesn't sound rude. It's the same (very wise) advice I received from a friend in the past.. and it's served me well. Focus on yourself, your heal... |
