Every once in a while when I'm out of the house I will try to guess the time, and then look at my watch to see how close I am. Sometimes I'm way off, like by more than an hour, but most of the time I'll be shockingly close to the actual time--almost always within five or ten minutes. My body's inter...

Yeah, I often find myself controlling myself. As strong as an AS urge may be, there just simply isn't a place for it in most scenarios. I have to restrict myself and discipline myself, and usually it works out alright.

I can stop my feelings temporarily, but it's difficult to maintain for a long period of time. Yesterday my mom wanted me to get some meat from the local butcher, and inside there was just kind of a group of people, not really in any organized fashion. I took my place at what I figured to be the end ...

I don't care how well a person spells words or punctuates as long as I can tell they took time with their post. That definitely happens a lot here, which I'm thankful for. :)

Caffeine causes me to feel energetic but simultaneously sleepy... But I don't know if that's anything different than it should be. When it gets to late I lose focus really easily, and sometimes that's difficult to distinguish from the effects of caffeine if I've just consumed some chocolate.

People always say I have a real "bounce to my step" and I've been made fun of for it. I've tried to walk a bit more as others do, but it doesn't feel comfortable for me.

I love this forum--I discover more and more about my identity as an Aspie each day.

Usually I become obsessed with something I had hear about or loved a long time ago--I feel the need to learn more information about it. The funny thing is that I often lose my interest in a subject as quickly as I got it.

When I was a kid I could never remember the proper way of holding a spoon versus holding a pencil. As a result, I held and still hold a pencil unlike anybody else I know.

I have always been very sensitive to criticism, taking it totally personally, and usually finding I automatically lash out in response to it, or feign disinterest etc...or argue even. How does everyone else here respond to criticism? One time I had to sit down with my teacher while she commented on...

Ironically, the first time I was kissed was during a truth or dare game that I wasn't participating in... It's these sorts of things I learn to laugh at.

My suggestion is to not care what people think. You're yourself, you're an Aspie, and you enjoy what you do do. Just because it isn't the same interest as another friend shouldn't concern you.

Yes, I find this to be the case. I've had a few experiences in the past--years and years ago--that I still worry about today. I think more than anything that I have this feeling when I wasn't sure about what another person was thinking--that I might have offended him or her--and was unable to fix th...

I was on my high school's varsity cross-country and track teams my freshman year. I've since given up cross-country but still run mid-distance in track fairly well. So I guess my answer to your question is "no." I also find I have an insatiable urge to run anywhere and everywhere. If I forget my boo...
