I am aimlessly wondering if they still play dodgeball in schools? I hated that, but sometimes feel like I'm playing it in RL.
At least the changes I've made apparently have me off the swingsets, lol.

So, in some ways could it be that you are wanting to start some areas "from scratch" now that you know about the different way your brain works? That you fear you have created a "false" sense of who you are while trying to be NT and now you are unsure of how to live your life from now on as your tr...

I've also heard it has to do with how ADHD you are. Edited: Have any of you who sweeten your coffee considered if it might be a blood sugar swing causing a mood shift rather than the caffiene? I have noticed over the years that I don't seem to actually have mood issues with caffiene. It does make me...

I used to love my smartphone for texting, and keeping me entertained in dull moments. I've discovered a hell of Apps (which shall remain nameless) a little because I was using them but more because other people were. I've realized that in this day and age of technology, you never really can be 100% ...

The rural state I was living in at the time offered a learner's permit at 14, (passed 2nd time I think) and license at 15. It seemed to help a lot that I started driving earlier and in a very low-stimulus simple environment, but I was still very anxious about all of it. I didn't have to learn to jug...

I am sorry you are struggling with EDS. Thank you for posting that link. That was an interesting article. Is it over-represented in the autistic community? I would think, from what I've read and what I know of EDS and what it tends to run with genetically, that's not the only thing that would be ove...

The street drug is basically an overdose of MDMA though. A real "theraputic" dose could be a fraction of that, and might not be enough to cause mania or seratonin burnout with occassional or longer term use. If it weren't a street drug control could be gained over things like that. That kind of cont...

Just when I thought the wierd stuff in my life was going to calm down, it doesn't. But at least it's not maliciously wierd, just creepy "wish there weren't people like that out there, but there are" kinda wierd. I'm unhappy (and a bit unsettled) about that. And my neck is unhappy about the errands i...

Well I think I saw you mention this once before Raziel, but didn't realize you were talking about the same thing! Isn't it a spasm of the eyelid muscle, not the eye? I'm female, but not hispanic, and I was young when it started being a bother...late 20's I think? It was right after a really major li...

Every once in awhile I get tics in my eyelids, mostly only when I'm under a great deal of stress when I've been working. Docs have called them blepharospasms I think? Nobody has ever made a connection between them and tourettes, but they have certainly been called a tic, and I've been told all sorts...

I figured out in college I'm allergic to sodium phosphates, a preservative in a lot of prepared foods, and oddly enough in toothpastes and mouthwashes. If I don't get a high dose the reaction to a little bit on accident isn't so bad (and benedryl helps) but if I don't notice it in toothpaste I'll ge...

I am glad this got bumped up. I have been reading and thinking over this subject for a couple of months now, for a friend and for myself. I am pretty sure, having looked at this really hard today that I am on the spectrum and not schizotypical...just due to my approach, and my approach to the study ...

A friend was asking me just the other day if there was a Group that represents people with disabilities in cases like these, with major or minor problems?
I told her I had no idea, but maybe somebody else will know?
