I believe that the MMR vaccine itself can cause autism ( before we would have just thought of the person as eccentric) Surely what the traits were referred to in the past has nothing to do with the vaccine? The reason people who would now be diagnosed with ASDs were called "eccentric" in the past i...

I think it is genetic and possibly environmental but cannot be caused by vaccines. There was no solid evidence behind the claim that MMR vaccines cause autism and it was designed purely to scare the ignorant public. There is a rise in cases of diagnosed autism because autism spectrum disorders are m...

I didn't project my voice because I was so private that I didn't want to be overheard by anyone else but the person I was speaking to. I'm the same way. I don't make myself heard at all in public; I find it really hard to speak up and when I do I tend to mumble and stumble over my words so much tha...

Sometimes I'll buy gifts for people and then never give them the gift, and I have no real explanation as to why. There's just something about the actual "giving" process that makes me nervous. Or I'll get a gift for someone whose birthday is in April, for example, but not actually have both the cau...

No. In fact, I'm terrible about gifting. It's not necessarily that I don't like my relatives, or can't afford to get them things... I just can't seem to integrate the: - knowledge of when birthdays/holidays/occasions actually are. - likes/dislikes/preferences of the people I know. - appropriateness...

No. I've had this username for years now and I use it on every site I go on. It would feel incredibly weird to be called anything else online.

I have AS and I didn't have an imaginary friend.

My (also Aspie) younger brother, however, is so egotistical that all of his imaginary friends are versions of himself. 8O
