That's why the people should be permitted to acquire tanks and howitzers. The point of the right to bear arms is lost if the government has access to weapons that are denied to the people. Cobra attack helicopters for EVERYONE! Hmm... but most Americans still wouldn't have the cash to purchase thei...

My wife told me recently that when someone says "The sky is really blue today", "Yeah, it is" is a good answer. She told me I'm far too likely to look in all directions, compare the colour of the sky / clouds / sunset / etc, and then offer a response along the lines of "It is, but only in that dire...

I guess that's why guns are almost illegal: the government has grown so corrupt that it's afraid of its own people. Tell me about it!! ! i live in California. I've had 2 "Assault weapons" confiscated by the Peoples Republic. Both legally purchased here in state back in the 90's. Since then they pas...

I've long since given up trying to adapt to the NT social environment. The only way to survive, and thrive, is to learn to change your immediate environment to suit one's own needs. The current age of technology has just given us more tools to control our little piece of the world. It has been said...

Punishments should deter crime. If they don't deter crime, they're useless punishments. There is quite a lot of good data that says capital punishment, in its modern and sterile form, does not deter crime. But consistently applied punishments work quite well. You won't be deterred by a punishment if...

It's not really a question of how autistic you are. If you're an aspie, you're autistic.

But, you're autistic in a way that doesn't impair your higher functions. You can still think rationally (often far more rationally than normals) and live your life independently.

Ah Ragtime, I would like to know where you got your information? For instance, where did you get the idea that the current pope was a Nazi soldier? I've never heard of that one and find this assertion quite far-fetched! He would not have been elected Pope if he had such a murky past. Saying "up to ...

There's a terrible labour shortage where I am right now, and all sorts of people are getting jobs when they shouldn't have them. They're total screw-ups who can't do the jobs they have because they're not competent, but the market pays them good wages because there's no one else to do the work - eve...

If I'm reading I read. I'll sit quietly for many hours and read as long as there aren't any sounds to distract me.

There needs to be a program to ensure that everyone can get a job.

Not everyone should have a job. Some people simply aren't employable.

I'm sorry, where in the bible does it say the pope is the 'voice of God' It doesn't. But since Catholic doctrine holds it to be true, they need to dismiss other denominations and unchristian in order to remain logically consistent. This is just about the first time I've ever seem clergy do somethin...

Sugar is a protoplasmic toxin which affects every cell in your body in a negative way. I only eat sugar if I really can't help it (social situations where a relative made somthing for me for example), or if I really don't care (too much booze). I have studied sugar and its effects extensively, and ...
