I'd rather be intensely hot than intensely cold. Otherwise, I'd rather be moderately cold than moderately hot. Same question. Interesting distinction, Korts! 3 is my lie! (1 is true although that doesn't mean I'm any good! I simply sing with my vinyls! I should correct 2 however! It's not that I 'can' sing soprano and alto, but rather that I try!)

Bright lights, definitely. Loud sounds I can adapt because I like loud music. I'm sorry about that lady's eye issue. Sounds awful. I am extremely farsighted. I can't find my hand in front of my face without my glasses. I very rarely borrow books. I use a library or buy my own copies; however, yes of course I would return it! I recall loaning a book to someone about 20 years ago and then they denied ever taking it. I remember how sad I felt.

Joseph says certain words very Scottish—in a “stane” vs “stone” sense. There’s lots of “air” pronunciations, too. There no evidence of the “x” phoneme (the “ch” pronunciation in “loch), though.
