I wasn't diagnosed until I was 17, after I started working there.

That's early. I was 27 or so before I was diagnosed. I had already been homeless 3 times by that point.

Yeah. I have a Master's degree. A professional degree for a profession that I am very good at. A profession that's good for aspies, really. But I can't get work. I can't pass the interview process. It's like that deal in Imperial China where a person had to write a perfect poem about plum blossoms ...

I just consider the entire original post to be trolling. I have AS, and I'm fully employable. I held the same job for three and a half years, without even once having a customer, a co-worker, or a superior bring a complaint against me. I'd still be working there if I hadn't relocated to a different...

If so, please tell me of them. If there are any of the type who would please let me know. My personal sensitivity is noise, but others have it with smell and touch. Wouldn't be nice if we could turn off these senses so that we could think, or sleep or whatever? It would be liberating and as such I h...

y'all do realize that you could tax EVERYONE in this country to kingdom come and it never would pay down the debt we've been burdened with, right? the best way to get rid of it is to declare it illegal gains. I've pointed out this fact for a number of times, however they are attempting to appeal to...

I've not applied, but have been told that there's no way that I don't qualify and have been strongly encouraged to apply. I'm trying to get a job for a few more months before I break down and start the application and apparently reapplication process. go ahead and apply. you can work and have this ...

Was denied first time, am reapplying. Ridiculous they deny everyone the first time. Come on now. Why would someone be applying for this if they didn't need it. I value my pride so much I'm doing everything I can to make money to NOT be on it. Not that it's shameful to be on it. I just... well I am ...

Welbutrin and Lexapro destroyed my creativity when I was on them, but it came back when I stopped taking them. I have also lost my creativity when I was overtired or overstimulated, and I wonder if that's what's happened to you. As tSunshineLove suggested, your life as it now may simply be too dema...

It is absolutely the drugs. I had my Asperger's diagnosis years after ADD, but it was to late, narcotically speaking. I was put on Ritalin at 3 years of age, and even though I spent months in a child psychiatry ward at age 9 where they took me off medication . . . an unlikely occurrence at age 18 r...

Game over. Final commentary... do NOT reduce your calories. 2000 a day is what most women need. reduce your carbs, eat nothing that isn't whole and organic. eat plenty of healthy fat too. look up nutritional typing as well. it doesn't matter how much i eat. a carb diet will make me fat. a fat diet will make me lean. a low calorie...

it sucks ass. don't go on it unless you have no other choice. it takes forever. you do NOT have to exaggerate to get on it like some people will tell you. i don't think you even need a lawyer, as i didn't. they WILL deny you the first time no matter what so always reapply. if you can work, work. it'...
