why bother? i don't consider mean folk worth any more of my energy than i can avoid parting-with. i just try to steer clear of such folk. unfortunately this means that i must stay out of public places for the most part. rudeness is an epidemic. it is only getting worse. "Taupey" was right about how ...

i don't know that "spartan" applies. i live in a trailer out in the woods, and the inside is an unholy disorganized mess. i am an incurable slob. there is a narrow path between piles of old newspapers and sacks of prescription meds. i have a rudimentary audio system whose wires rest atop furniture [...

Why do you feel you have to change? It is because that's what the norm wants? What about what "you" want? Remember the cartoon "Popeye"? "I yam what I yam!" That's what made him cool. He was himself and didn't care. So, eat your spinach and stop complaining.

hello Chris:+) i was dx'd in 2004, i was in my mid 40s then. i was raised in a non-religious home, and my parents exhibited much hostility towards religiously-inclined people, not on my part but of my parents who took delight in putting obnoxiously pious folk in their place. when somebody would make...

I like Ravel's "Pavane for a Dead Princess" (I've heard Ravel hated it) and Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet Suite" and Debussy's mood music ( The Girl with the Flaxen Hair) and Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra and quite a few others. I don't see their relationship to reality. Also Songs of the Auverne...

I wonder if a person from, say, LA can tell the difference between NY and Boston. I would assume so. I'm Canadian and I can tell the difference between most American accents. ok, here's a nice and subtle one for ya- eastern washington, and puget sound/western washington. hint- you are more likely t...
