I think Social Dyslexia, High Functioning Autism, Atypical Autism, or Autism minus mental retardation would be good. Then the a**burger jokes would stop.

Asperger's is indeed real because me and about 95% of the people on this website also have it, although most neurotypicals are very skeptical and think our condition is a ''conspiracy theory''.

My uncle is scizophernic so I know how you feel. They can almost read your mind when you're talking to them. Just don't put any pressure on yourself to be normal because everyone has their own quirks and it's okay to be the way you are. :D

I don't know, but I suspect society "accepts" them more than how people with AS are regarded. Mostly, full autistic people have an obvious issue. Society and polite behavior can deal with that. People with AS largely can blend in with normal society, so our issues are viewed as a behavior issue and...

Your friend could be jealous, but most likely doesn't believe you. From my experience, Autism is more obvious than AS because of mental retardation and language delays that occur in Autism but not in AS, which could explain your problem.

My mom probably has undiagnosed AS, my father is NT, my sister is NT, but my maternal grandfather could have some traits of AS... Anyway, I got dx'ed w/a mild variant of AS.
