I generally prefer it to be very bright for reading, quite bright for cooking (mainly to better slice ingredients and to check the food while cooking, and fairly dim the rest of the time. That got me to wondering what it would be like to change your house lighting to use lights that are overall abou...

How about not trusting someone that we should definitely not trust?

Trump, for instance. I have never considered him to be the least bit trustworthy.

I eat what I want, when I want. I tend to go on jags where I will eat the same thing over and over until I get focused on something else. I also seem to know what may be digestively problematic later. Luckily, I like most foods if not textures. One thing I have to be careful of is eating the correc...

I used to eat a lot of onions but got out of the habit over the last 15 years or so. I'm starting to eat them a lot again. My goal is one large onion per day. Why onions, you may ask? About 40 years or so ago, there was an article in Scientific American about onions. The article made it very clear t...

This morning, I dreamed that I stopped at a hamburger place in another town for lunch while I was on the road. There was an enormous crowd ahead of me and it didn't seem to be moving. Finally, I pushed through the crowd up to the front and found out that they weren't waiting for tables. I had no ide...

Are there any applications that Blockchains are actually needed to do? It seems to me that they are a solution searching for a problem. Just about any data needs that I have ever had, doing it myself and maintaining control over the data was highly important. I can't imagine any reason why I would e...

Hmmm. A similar dream two nights in a row.

Again, I dreamed I was a ghost. In this dream, I had a PO Box and would check my mail daily. Sometimes I would be visible while doing it, sometimes not.

Also in the dream, I was a big attraction at Halloween.

I dreamed that I was a ghost. Before dying, I had built a pretty cool Santa Fe style adobe house. After dying, I stayed to look after the house and my various relatives. If someone tried to buy the house, I would scare them off, but not too bad. I kept the house spic and span and free of mice and bu...

My dreams are nearly all pleasant and entertaining. However, last week the doctor put me on a new medicine that was causing me to feel extremely uncomfortable for a few hours. It wasn't a sharp pain, but did not feel at all good. That first night on it, I repeatedly had dreams of fighting monsters, ...

There was nothing remotely sexual about the way that Klinger did it.

If the Democrats could come up with a solid, moderate candidate, it would likely be a major landslide. Unfortunately, they just want progressives. Interesting as Biden seems for now to be front runner for the Democratic nomination, unless for whatever reason you assume otherwise, in which case you ...

I do find it interesting that very little of the US-Canada border has any sort of physical barrier protecting it. Although it's never been legal to just walk across it, pre-911 there were situations in which populations on either side lived adjacent to each other, and within those communities peopl...

Apparently that district in Florida is known for speedy trials.. a "rocket docket," district. Maybe he'll be tried, convicted, sentenced to death, taken 'round back to a firing squad and that's the end of it. As for Biden's re-election campaign, at least he can run as an Actual "Law ...

Hard to see many people who voted for Biden in 2020 turning around and saying “yeah actually having thought about it I now support Trump, that insurrection and endangering national security really endeared me to him”. Always a chance of course but I think predictions of Trump being “heavily favoure...
