The part where you are talking about masking really resonated with me because I feel the same. Like masking is killing me but at the same time I am forced to do it to get by in the world. It's such a no-win situation, it makes me feel stuck between a rock and a hard place, you know? Anyhow, yes, rec...

Saw your video, thank you for that. Some very important points. I have recently started having problems with dysregulated nervous system also, not sure if that is similar to what you have been dealing with. So far it has been episodic and I have recovered each time, but I'm concerned about whether I...

I haven't opened the link yet, but so far I think I'm a B/D or possibly a C. Looking at the charts in the paper, I'm not sure anyone in Cluster C would have the language skill to post in this forum. So I'd probably put you down as a B/D. It's a bit hard to tell as they don't explain exactly what th...

In the paper, it looks like some variants of Cluster E have nearly intact executive function.
So you might come under Aspergers, Bee.

Edited to add: I'm sure super-geniuses can have EF issues. Consider the state of Einstein's hair!

So, having concluded that the April 2023 paper on autism subtypes may be bogus, I found another one: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1386505618308669#fig0005 This paper has 5 clusters A-E - but I can't see much difference between B and D so am lumping those together. All clusters ...

To be honest, I'm starting to think that this particular study is bogus. (Even if I was quite proud of my diagrammatic representation at the time!) I think they may be looking at a natural large scatter of traits and brain connections within autism - then artificially and somewhat arbitrarily dividi...

A lot of the questions seem like they'd elicit all-or-nothing responses from most people. Funnily enough, I had the opposite reaction, I kept ticking box 1 because I could see I had that reaction sometimes, but not often enough to tick box 2. Maybe that's why you scored really in aspie traits and I...

Following on, the test has a lot of questions gauging the strength of autistic traits. But I think it would be better with more questions designed towards recognising and judging the strength of neurotypical traits . Because if it is to make a good judgement on whether someone is AS or NT, it needs ...

I feel like this test is much more geared to picking up classical autistics with strong traits than asperger-types. So some of us diagnosed aspies may come out as likely NT. I think the issue may be in the weightings. If we have moderate traits and tick box 1 a lot instead of box 2, we might not sco...

Your score: 96 of 200
63% probability of being typical (neurotypical)

Apparently I communicate like an NT 8O

I have noticed this also. It doesn't seem to cross people's minds that a well-educated middle-aged person like me could have genuine difficulties with processing and understanding speech in real time. So they assume I'm being passive aggressive or critical of them or something like that and get all ...

I get annoyed by these "experts" who think that because we've survived until midlife without a diagnosis that means we don't need one. It's so invalidating. All because they don't recognise: (a) Aspergers or higher functioning autism was not a recognised condition when we were kids. So lac...

Mine came out "moderate" BPD traits which was a surprise as I thought it would be low. My daughter has BPD so I know what it is like and I don't have it. She would have scored very high in all aspects I suspect. But when I look into it, the traits I have can be explained by my autism, e.g....

Splitting is not about splitting up with people, it's about seeing things in extremes, black and white / good or bad, and not the nuances. This is also common in autism.

So my only comment would be that all CVs with the word "autistic" should be given preferential treatment
