Fireman Sam was my son’s favorite show when he was in preschool. I enjoyed watching it too. For some reason, I found the nonstop trouble the limited number of characters constantly caused or found themselves in very entertaining.

The only real difference is the level of content being provided. Pre-schoolers are rather notorious for having short attention spans. If such a slow paced program could appeal to them, there's no reason why a show for somewhat older kids couldn't prioritize the content. Being flashy is all well and...
