We spend our entire adult lives working every day doing things with our bodies, time, and minds that we DO NOT WANT TO DO just for the sake of having a little something to eat and a place to sleep at night... how has it come to this Jobs are all just transmutations of the original job, which was pr...

Yes, I think autistics are naturally wired to filter out real from unreal, or conceptual things, but our society operates almost entirely in the conceptual world (like TV shows), which is very confusing for autistics. I was just becoming a teenager when I started realizing that most people around me...

What exceptions might that be? The ones that seem to necessitate the hypothesizing of materials like dark matter. The unknown, unperceiveable, and the not yet testable can fall into that category. Thus far in our thinking of our universe, our reality and the passage of time are defined by energy tr...

A thought. As I understand it, flatworms and amoebas have more complex DNA than humans do. This doesn't indicate that the "evolved" creatures are superior...rather we have missing/dormant genes present in more "primitive" organisms. I'm wondering if indeed what happens over time is "de-evolution." ...

At the risk of rubbing some people the wrong way I'm going to say that no, from our perspective everything is not energy as we normally define it. I do agree with Einstein that mass and energy as we define them are essentially manifestations of the same thing, and that would be at an un-perceivable ...

Yes, I find most fictional writing to be a dreadful waste of time, serving only as a hedonistic exercise in identity type thinking.
If I wanted pure fantasy I would just listen to a normal person talk about their lives and interests.

anachronism. That is an interesting username, and seems very appropriate for describing Nikola Tesla and his type of thinking. "The most common type of anachronism is an object misplaced in time, but it may be a verbal expression, a technology, a philosophical idea, a musical style, a material/texti...
