I'm also in Massachusetts - and I'm currently waiting on things with Mass Rehab. First thing to note, they're very slow. Incredibly slow. The person who I was assigned to for Mass Rehab is surprisingly knowledgeable about Asperger's, and most of the people she works with are on the autistic spectru...

Yes, I do it on average about once a day, mostly out of habit before I go to bed. Sometimes I may do it twice a day, and some days not at all. It varies. Since I don't have a g/f and have never had sex, it's the only real form of sexual pleasure that I can get. Hopefully this will one day change.

Is there anyone on here from western Massachusetts, eastern New York (Albany, Tri-cities area), southern Vermont, or northwestern Connecticut? If so, and you'd like to become friends or something, please don't be afraid to send me a PM. I'd even be open to getting to know some people from eastern Ma...

Not all guys are attracted to girls are who into trendy clothes, make-up, and "girlyness". I for one tend to be attracted to girls who are not into all of that silly pink stuff and who are overly concerned with being pretty every time they go out. In fact, I think you'd be surprised at how many guys...

Definitely pick a major that will likely yield a job after school (i.e. engineering, comp sci, math, etc). Although I spent my time studying my Aspie obsession, meteorology, it has not resulted in a job. The weather business is mostly government focused, and with austerity measures, there are very f...

I hated living in the dorms. It was too noisy and taxing on my senses. I also didn't have any privacy, something that I, and many other Aspies, probably find to be very important. Navigating things socially was hell for me. Heck, I could rarely go down the hall to the loo without experiencing some r...

Definitely go for the job option. As others have said, disability income leads to a life of dependence and boredom, leaving you feeling worthless, especially if you're capable of working. If you go to college, make sure you study something that will lead to a job afterwards. This is my situation. I ...

Does anyone else here really, really hate writing cover letters? It feels like I have to re-type something new for each job, and each time it feels like I'm walking a fine line between writing too little about myself and gushing way too much. I can never seem to strike that perfect balance without ...

Well this is my experience so far. They are very slow to decide, and took more than the full 60 days for mine. After I had fully applied, they had my name wrong on my letters! A totally different first name that starts with the same letter. I met the lady for my first starter appointment, and signe...

Well...I'll throw my hat in the ring. This picture of me was taken at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL standing next to the DeLorean. It's one of those rare halfway decent photos of me. I don't know why, but I tend not to come out too well in most photos. I'm not sure if I should use this photo on ...

Hi...I'm trying to upload an image to the site via Imageshack, but I keep getting an error when I attempt to post. It looks fine in the preview, but when I try to post, I get a general error with no further explaination. Any idea on why this doesn't seem to be working for me? Other users don't seem ...

I am wondering if anyone else has used their state's vocational rehabilitation commission, and if so, what they felt about it. Was it useful or a waste of time? I am on the waiting list to have my intake interview with the Massachusetts voc rehab commission and am not sure what to expect out of the ...

I generally like to drive, especially highway driving. I get nervous in city driving when people are more likely to be aggressive and unpredictable in heavy traffic. My space bubble is larger than most NT drivers and therefore tend to get upset easily if someone gets too close to me while turning, t...

If it's an option, I'd recommend a quiet off-campus apartment. I was able to sleep and study well away from the noisy, chaotic dorms. I quit after a year and half of dorm hell, but went back to college at another school a year later and had my own place. The other good thing about this is you can s...
