Is it worth seeing a psychologist though? I would say so, it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to try and by what you say your issues certainly do seem serious enough to see one. I have just started seeing one recently and we haven't gotten to the point where we are working on study habits or motiva...

Is this something that would show up in the standard blood tests they do at doctor's offices? I'm talking about the tests for cholesterol and thyroid levels and such. I've never had anything abnormal in those tests, although I have had high blood pressure (which I don't know whether that could be re...

I should have mentioned though that it isn't really that bad to have HFA (high functioning autism) depending on if you know how to cope with it and what characteristics it comes with as it is different for everyone (it can even be an advantage in some careers). I have done relatively well in college...

I had the same issues with tags in clothing. I also had some odd quirks with socks, I would roll them down around my ankles. You don't seem like you are over reacting. I would get the advice of psychologist--not a GP--unless you are going to the GP to have a psychologist recommended to you. She has ...

You aren't alone. You may be feeling bad partially because you have no regular schedule, I've found schedules to be helpful. Another thing I have found helpful is to write down the times at which I do things, so at least I know how much time I am wasting. However, some things just never go away comp...

It depends on how you define maturity. I tend to see people with asperger's as being more mature for their age than NT's but then again that is obviously not always the case.

I was saying that 40-55 is under the age of consent because 40-55=-15

What I mean by immature is that most boys his age are at the very least interested in girls (or boys, whatever your orientation may be) but he doesn't even seem interested...forget approaching a girl. I would drop DEAD if he approached a girl from sheer shock. One thing I tried to get across was th...

Why would anyone want to text people or go on facebook? Be glad he has better taste than his peers. Good point! I second this. Then again we all have profiles and lists of interests, and we are posting on a website... Also she didn't say that he was or wasn't into facebook. But the phone tex...

So how is your son immature? I think she just means that he hasn't gotten to the point where he is approaching women, which is a step that most men get to eventually and hence can be labeled as a developmental mile stone. I agree with you though that most teenagers are very immature today and socie...

I personally never approached a girl until I was a senior in high school. I would say that although I matured sexually at a normal rate my emotions and my confidence lagged behind. But in addition to that I think it was something else too. I think it was fear... yes I was afraid of women. The fact i...

Be very careful about having the attitude: "it must work!" That will come off as ridiculously clingy, possibly even if you try to hide it. I would advise you to think about what will happen if you don't make it with her... and keep thinking about it until you can accept that it will not be that bad....

Thanks for all the advice. I made the recent comment text small. I got rid of the bright sub-sub-caption at the top as well as one of the colors. I moved most of the links to a separate page. I made the label cloud less messy by using a list format and alphabetizing. I added delimiters (borders) in ...
