I have this acquaintance who was used to greet me with "hey, here comes the man who never smiles".

people have next to no experience with hard drives and would rather do something else, the fact that the character would rather do something that seems so complicated would strike many people as amusing. Hi. I think I understand why they find that funny (after so many people trying to explain to me...

This topic intrigued me because I can't remember if I ever related to fictional characters as to feel actually sorry for them. What happens is at times I think people's judgement and feelings towards some characters are very inconsistent. Example given. Someone I know once told me she laughed out lo...

Dear Conspiracy Theorist Friend #2, we live in a world in which there are many forces acting upon one another. This sparks tension which eclodes in a myriad of situations that give very undesired outcomes at times. While there's always the possibility of mass manipulation, you should first question ...

Dear Major Conspiracy Theorist Friend #1, people who are both intellectually and spiritually evolved don't spend their lives locked in their rooms thinking of themselves with delusions of exaggerated self-worth doing nothing but serially smoking, watching dubious YT videos and playing Metal Gear Sol...

Dear penpal, sorry it took me so long since your last message. Actually, I've been thinking about your last request all this time. I hope you don't get me wrong. The problem is that I don't feel confident about sending my pictures to people I "just met". Thank you for sending your pictures...

are they being literal or sarcastic? That's no easy one. I'm trying my best to give a reasonable answer here. Most of the time they don't mean what they are saying. They don't want you to die literally. They don't really dislike you that much. They could be upset for something you said or have done...

Seconded. Happens to me all the time. It's somewhat irritating.

Hi, Rose. I don't think most people in this forum would really be able to give you a proper diagnosis, even if we all in here are very interested in helping you. You seem to have read enough about the ASD subject and you probably know why. If you don't trust the diagnosis, you should seek for the se...

I'll delve into Ruby or Python if its the pragmatic thing to do I work for the computer industry but I find it boring. I hate my job. More than two decades into it and still hating. Also I find the fellow IT co-workers a bit abject with all their competitive talk, bragging, knowledge of modern fram...

I was trying to write a proper reply to all posts but looks like there were some quirks in the original message and the server wouldn't allow me to post without answering a reverse-Turing test that kept throwing me back to an empty page. I had to cut it short. so autism is just an excuse to become a...

Thank you all for the warm welcome. @Trogluddite I found Wrong Planet simply by Googling. I was finally moved by the curiosity of knowing how other Aspergers live their lives. I never met others "like me" in real life. I was diagnosed by a former psychologist and according to her DDX I hav...

Signed in yesterday. Stopped to say "hello" because it looks like common practice and moderators will know I'm not a spam bot.

Thought I had posted this message yesterday but then couldn't find it, so I take it I must have messed up somehow. Anyway, excuse me if this is redundant.

Cheers.
