My mom almost never lets me complain about stuff! She doesn't understand that I NEED to complain! If I don't vent, I can't calm down properly! I just had almond milk that was all watery because they sealed the cap too tightly and of course the carton doesn't pour properly. My morning was ruined and...

Loud or unexpected sounds create a sense of urgency for me. I wish I could just wear noise canceling headphones all the time because I love the peace that comes over my body when I have them on. Unfortunately I can’t do this because I have to appear normal at work and am embarrassed of the whole si...

Aspies are also said to often have an "out of sight, out of mind" thing going on. Chores are sometimes out of sight. So I bake a loaf and leave it to cool in the kitchen. Next thing I know, it's bedtime, I take my cup into the kitchen and see the loaf, which needs slicing and bagging up b...

Hi: First of all, your words have power. The more that you tell yourself that you are unemployable, the more you are going to believe that. I have been unemployed for close to 10 years after applying for jobs and I get social security disability so even the American federal government agrees with m...

If your father is going to provide you with alternative accommodation, is it really so bad?

He is good in one respect. When he kicks you out, he does it in a reasonable way that won't cause unnecessary harm.

Why do you actually want to live with your parents?

When I felt ready, I moved away from my (single) mother not because I disliked her but because I felt I wanted to make my own way in the world.

Haven't you ever desired the same thing?

I drink about 8 cans a day and have been warned about it by my GP. I have always liked a drink but it got worse due to bad neighbours about 10 years ago.

Post your experiences here and let's all help each other beat the booze.

Can we swap neighbors please?

I want to start by saying your father is a heretic. The Bible says that Jesus turned water into wine. If your father says otherwise than your father is saying the Bible is wrong. If your father says that Jesus didn't turn water into wine while believing that Jesus did turn water into wine then he is...

I'm a father with autism and I can sort of relate. I find it overwhelming. The sounds, the smells the way the little hellion darling keeps leaving her toys all over the living room and then her mother says I can't put anything in the upstairs room because that's little darlings playroom but she puts...

what would make having the electrician in your house to carry out work not just tolerable but a good experience. The number one thing I want from electricians, plumbers and other trades people is this. Please don't be too critical of me if you're called to fix my botched DIY jobs. I'm already embar...
