Happy Valentines Day WP! My evaluation is over and I've officially been diagnosed with ASD level 1. I feel relieved but not much else at the moment. I'll update you guys as the feelings progress but I just wanted to share. Thanks for all of the support over nearly 3 years of trying to figure myself ...

No I wasn't. I was referring to what Kraftie said. Also Mudboy, your response was interesting.

Hi all, I have a question for those who wander. I know that it is common behavior for those on the spectrum but outside of a way to escape certain sensory input why do you all wander? I'm in the process of being evaluated for ASD but I have a physical disability so I couldn't really elope if I wante...

Hi all, I had my initial meeting with a psychologist for my Autism evaluation and I'll be taking the ADOS next week and then the next appointment after that will be going over the results and giving the diagnosis or not. I know I'm in the US and a lot of members that have discussed the timeline of e...

Yes, chronic fatigue of unknown origin according to my doctor. It comes and goes. Sometimes I have vitamin D or iron deficiency but sometimes I don't. My best guess is it's autism related but I also have a physically disability so that could be it too but I was born with it and my fatigue didn't sta...

I've got a 19 point difference from my main verbal and performance scores. I was under enough mental stress (like low self-esteem) nearing 21 years old. My auditory working memory was the lowest at 66 and 30 points below my verbal score. block design- 7 matrix reasoning- 7 visual puzzles- 4 symbol ...

I have a similar profile to the OP Except I did well with coding, and I scored like a 9 in most of the "performance" tasks. I scored a 150 Verbal, and a 90 Performance, on an IQ test when I was 15 years old. I'm pretty clumsy, and I don't see things which are "right in front me,"...

Does the DSM say that or just your paperwork? I'm curious, I was diagnosed with NVLD, I'm sure it's ASD but if they're considered the same that would save me a whole new evaluation.

Yep it's pretty similar on my end. My dad has a brother who is 15 months younger than him so they've always been close. His daughter my cousin is 6 months older than me. We also have a twin-like bond. I consider her my sister and my first "normalizer" an affectionate term I pretty much kee...

Ah social skills that's a million dollar question. I am definitely socially awkward, I understand figures of speech but still envision them literally, if that makes sense. I'm ok with body language I think and facial expressions too though I tend to look above or below people's eyes. Also, I can und...

I don't know what it would be called exactly but I am very similar. There is a 55 point gap between my verbal and performance iq 147 to 92. I got a 5 on the block design, a 13 on matrix reasoning, and an 8 on visual puzzles (I think I got a few lucky guesses on visual puzzles though so I would assum...

Hi all! So the past couple times I've tried to send a pm I type my message and hit send then the page reloads. I can't find my recent attempts at pm's in my sent messages so I don't know if they are working. Also Kraftie I sent you one a few minutes ago so if you're reading this and you got it let m...

Hi welcome to Wrong Planet, as others have said you do have a number of characteristics but it could be other things as well. Keep in mind that most females present differently than males. Tania Marshall (I believe that's her name) Google female Aspergers and you'll find her has good information on ...
