I used to have severe social anxiety that has improved gradually sense I met my wife about 6 years ago. Having someone you can always fall back on helps. I'm very chatty these days but still very paranoid about what people think of me which I often assume is negative. I'm not sure I have any good a...

I think you need to be A LOT more specific, if you want useful answers. In conversations I feel like I come off as a self-centered asphole. I think I don't know the proper timing for talking about myself. I know its good to ask questions, but then If I try to relate to that persons experience I fee...

Honestly, I think even if people do know they don't take it seriously or care. agreed. I try to put myself in their shoes and realise that it is of no gain telling them. The only time it might be useful to 'disclose' is when you're being asked to do something that may cause some extreme unexplainab...

Honestly, I think even if people do know they don't take it seriously or care. This is my experience also. It' not my problem though. Most people who have anything to do with me know because of my site (aspergersgirl.com) If they think I'm full of it, they can jump in the lake. I'm not interested i...

I have this problem too!! Here's how i deal with it: -I go to the store and pick out a really nifty day planner that appeals to me (with tabs for the months/days, a section for phone numbers, email addys, notes etc) -I also pick out a small notebook -I use both: I write appointments in the planner,...

I hate working retail too. What kills me is that I'm good at it, so a lot is expected of me, but I hate it, so I am not naturally good at it. And at the same time, the pay is sh!t. You sort of have to be good at it to keep your job. The working with the public part has probably helped me improve my...

Costa Rican's/Hispanics and the Irish are very friendly, middle-easterners are supposed to be more hospitable than southerners, I hear Czechs are pretty reserved so a lot of aspies are probably drawn to it. All places have their good points but no place is miraculous.

Ihated my previous job with a passion. I worked out in O'fallon where all the stuck up soccer moms lived and shopped. Pretty much the same working in Brentwood. I hate going past 170. What part of St. Louis do you live in? I live out in Saint Peters, or I should say Unincorporated St. Charles Count...

I had a friend when I was very young, he moved away. Had trouble making long term friends from the start. Even before my childhood got dysfunctional I had these obsessions. I was obsessed with states and state capitals, would check out books on states from the library, and ask people if they had bee...
