Quoting Gina Interesting theory. I wonder what it is that makes me hate orange. *searches through early memories* Maybe you were forced to eat carrots or squash. "Eat your carrots! There good for your eyes." Maybe  I've never liked orange juice, either, which was annoying when I went to ...

On New Year's Day, don't fall into the trap of thinking your life has just magically changed because it's the start of a new 12-month cycle. If you want to change your life, you have to do it yourself, it won't just happen.

Quoting GinaGhettoPrincess cosmiccat - I'm interested to know, why would disliking a certain colour mean someone is not well-adjusted or something? Confused Well, the way I see it is like this: If someone shows a really strong dislike or aversion to a certain color there must be a reason which make...

My strategy is to volunteer an answer or two near the beginning of class and they normally leave me alone after that (or sometimes I am giving way too many answers so they actively encourage me to keep it to myself and give someone else a chance. It depends on the subject).

My favourite colour is purple. It has been so for a long time, though when I was younger it changed quite a lot (it was normally pink or purple or blue, sometimes black). cosmiccat - I'm interested to know, why would disliking a certain colour mean someone is not well-adjusted or something? :? Your answers are very interesting. It seems like vision-only dreams are rare... Nobody has also audio off? Even if I dream about violence or war, I don't hear the voices and explosions. I see them and all messages come to me without words. They are inprinted in my mind to become new thoughtpictures...

Well, in Year 8 I looked at the wrong day on my timetable and went into the wrong classroom and sat down in my usual seat. I looked around and was thinking, "Hey, where's my friend? These people aren't in my geography class...what the hell's going on here?" then it slowly dawned on me where I'd gone...

Usually English, but I occasionally dream in other languages (sometimes languages I don't even understand in real life, though I understand them perfectly in the dreams). Sometimes I'll wake up and have random foreign phrases running through my head (those will be languages I have been studying in r...

I also had trouble with "close the door a little" being a polite form of "close the door" (like "close it in your own time"), because I actually did literally close it a little. I only understood "little" as a politeness when she asked me to "turn over the (vinyl) disk a little". I thought that mea...

Yes, I think it's because I get defensive, when people (at school) attack me verbally, I attack back, and if they're attacking quite subtly (or with a pack of friends, automatically making them right even when they're wrong) and I'm just telling them outright where they can bloody go, an observer wo...

The boy was adopted in September from the town of Partizansk in Russia's Far East.

So did she just expect him to find his way back to his home town alone after she abandoned him in Moscow? Has she ever looked at Russia on a map? It's the biggest country in the world, for Pete's sake.

I want to know if Gina is a good name. I partially don't like it because it is half of my horrid full name (Georgina, which I hate because it is old-fashioned and I think it has an ugly spelling and sound), but I partially like it because it has quite Latin associations. I also like it because there...

I'm the opposite, I'm nearly 15 but I prefer adult stuff. Things aimed at teenagers mostly seem boring and pathetic to me. I don't even like to wear the same clothes as "normal" teenagers. I had a conversation with a girl at my school at the bus stop when I was on work experience, I was wearing a gr...

Try to find a language that you can stay motivated to learn. Is there a language you maybe have more reason to learn, like maybe it's spoken in a country where you visit a lot, or would like to visit? I don't really have this problem, I never really get bored of languages. Except in a few cases wher...
