She is allowed to say anything - but saying some things can make one hated. The freedom of expression means the state can't punish you for voicing your opinions, not that people are not allowed to hate or shun you for it. Death threats, if she received any, are a different thing, though. There is a ...

The people I encountered who called the first thing "woke" were some who self-identified as such.

It's the same as with "feminism": it spans from being interested in gender issues to outright men-hating. All adopt the same label but it can mean different things to each.

I think we should recognize two different things, both labeled "being woke": 1. Recognizing the horrors of Atlantic slavery, "Jim Crow laws", etc., and understanding its still lingering impact in American society; 2. Calling potentially everyone and everything racist and propelli...

Anyone with non-zero special forces could have done it. It could be USA, it could be Russia (to feed hostility between USA and Germany), it could be some smaller entity, it could be some Big Money playing with natural gas prices... or it could have been a genuine disastrous malfunction with snowball...

As wokeism keeps adding to the list of what's supposed to be fascist. What's not called fascist today, will be called fascist tomorrow. How is it fascist to prevent racism? I believe MG means "wokeists" accuse of fascism broader and broader groups of their critics and anyone can fall ther...

^ Is this the website of this guy? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Unz Quite a record of "interesting" conspiracies. This war is between Russia and Ukraine, not between USA and Germany, if anyone did not notice it. USA takes a clear side, Germany is torn between economical self-interest,...

Am aware of this baddy. Russia , behaving like a Monster under Putin, but am getting a feeling that this is becoming more a War of Politics , Now it is more seeming like Bidens Military Industrial machine, against the Putin Military Industrial machine . Great testing ground for everybody’s latest a...

Yeah, the only thing russians understand is force. They also love to test the limits. If they do end up using nukes and receive an anemic response, they will see that as basically a green light. And then they will continue to test where the new limit is and push that. That's why I'm very happy for ...

Yes, that's cartainly a factor here: a nation with strong identity but no state is well relatable to 19th century Poland - which means they're in a situation well relating to our culture classics. The Kurd I knew also showed a welcome version of Islam - he didn't eat pork nor drink wine but he was t...

For some reason, Kurds have very good press in Poland.

I met only one personally and he was genuinely in line with this good press.

I wonder if these opinions on Kurds stem back from Iraqui War, where Polish soldiers found them the most relatable group of locals? Maybe.
