Not even all fictional/movie vampires wear the garb described in this article. (For example, the vampires in "Near Dark" and "The Lost Boys" did not.)

And the vampires of most traditional folkloric vampire beliefs certainly did not dress this way.

Is it stupid to be in love with someone if they aren't in love with you too? How long did you know this person before you decided you were in love with them? If you haven't known the person for very long, then you can't possibly really love them for who they really are. You can love only a very inc...

When I was single, I talked a bit on here about wanting an arranged marriage. Long-term relationships like marriage require commitment, treating each other with respect, & willingness to listen & compromise in order to last. I believe the main reason lots of relationships do not last is bec...

So what makes a marriage work? My argument is that the success of a marriage or long-term cohabitation is not necessarily having the most possible interests in common, in fact in some cases that might even be detrimental. How would that be detrimental? For me, having at least some interests in comm...

You don't need to tell them about half of those problems. I never told a single woman I have Dyslexia. Your problems will become evident to anyone with whom you have a longterm intimate relationship, even if you don't put labels on them. Personally I think it's best to build relationships on a foun...

I’m ready to look for guys, but I’m going get scared when I have to tell someone that I have Cerebral Pasly, Aspergers, Psoriasis, Dyslexia & Learning Disability. I know now to wait to tell a guy. Am I wasting my time? Have you considered meeting Aspie guys at a local support group? You might n...

One day, I'll be too old to work. I won't have any money. No money at all? Isn't there a retirement fund for teachers? And I won't have any children or family to take me in. I won't be able to pay rent, or to afford a caregiver. I'll be sickly, impoverished, and with nobody to take me in or anywher...

How do you invest in special interests when they are usually too expensive?

Most of my special interests have involved collecting information and ideas, not material things. These days, most of the relevant info can be found online, so I don't even have to buy books.

Honestly, if I were a man, my personality would be tolerated, but they expect women to be very traditional and have typical gender roles here. Provincial attitudes. Do you live in a city, suburb, or rural area? I would expect rural areas to be very conformist, but what about the cities? I've never ...

I think it depends a little from what one counts as "spectrum friendly." Based on my experience, places in the countryside tend to be better when it comes to severe sensory issues, unless you can't handle the smells of animal waste spread out on the fields, Living in the woods might be be...

And some people are sapiosexuals - your Master's Degree might be a big turn on. And still others might just find your educational background to be very interesting, in a non-fetishistic sort of way. I am concerned that you are just throwing away all the effort that you have put into your master's d...

Have you looked via the organized kink subculture, or mostly via more mainstream means?

But from the perspective of the younger person, why choose to be with an older autistic person when you can be with someone your own age? Because some of us care about other things besides age. I had quite a few older partners when I was younger. In retrospect, it seems likely that most of them wer...

Bookmarking by individual users is not an adequate substitute for a sticky thread, IMO. In order to have the same effect, the users who bookmark it would need to make a point of posting regularly in the thread, more than they otherwise would, so everyone else sees it too. How about a locked sticky t...

If you don't want to be persuaded otherwise, what is your aim in posting about it here? What kind of feedback do you expect or want?
