Hi Lg. I did realise I had also taken something personally that I shouldn't. It was my own insecurity. I did try to explain that can happen, to another, but not very well. I also often get taken the wrong way, like you feel you are, and, yes I'm often referring to myself not the other person. In fac...

Tobes puts it so well, BiF. It's like often I say 'you' instead of 'I'. People who know me know what I mean. Most people probably think I'm accusing them of something. I dunno. I do know I don't understand exactly what lots of people really mean. They even might say ' do you understand?' Well I don'...

Hi BiF. I was actually hurt by the same remark on a recent post that you were. I did think it was aimed at me. I had to step back and be silent. I've had a long life of having to do just that. I was concerned that you were hurt by it too. It puzzled me why someone makes such remarks. I don't know th...

I haven't been on wp long, I can identify with plenty you say in that ive felt similar about myself. Raleigh speaks sense. He's a good mate to you. You were one of the first to respond to my awkward first post. I would already miss you if you left. Not good with words. So I'll leave it at that. Musi...

Thanks kk. You give me courage to keep going. I hate the term NTs as we are all so individual anyway. It's good to feel I do finally belong somewhere, though. Rainman was definitely more about institutionalisation than autism, I agree.

I have formed the opinion that in Britain the 'experts' have decided it's a condition restricted to childhood that magically disappears on the 18th birthday. If the visible behaviours can be quashed, then that's the problem solved. No, that's THEIR problem solved. I survive by constantly reminding m...

The stark realisation that at 61 I am too old to be worthy of support. There must be many thousands of us. Support or any level of understanding just didn't exist when I was younger. Now I'm too old. Too damaged by punishments of the past. Too forgetable. Hey ho! Muddle on ......

I am a pre diagnosis over 60 year old who always knew I was tortuously different. At secondary school I was mocked and was so naive I was abused with not a clue what to do about it. The grammar school had the attitude that if you were able to churn out qualifications and aim at university that's all...

That's why i think society is from Uranus. NTs is a better term, so I'll use that from now on. I still can't wait for the day they move en masse to Mars or Venus, though and sensitive, caring people can rebuild this planet. No more hiding behind doors......Just one knotty problem. Many individual NT...

Me too. Animals seem in tune with me. I love nature. The natural planet is so beautiful! It's my reason for living. The society we live in does such destructive things. I'm sure they don't always mean to......but then I'm no longer sure.

I have a huge problem with injustice and lies. I also have a problem if I get too involved in someone else's problem. But I can't change. It would be great if all people were honest and respected others. I do tend to tell even strangers these days if they are being over the top with someone else. Bu...

It's really good. Amazing. It would be really useful to explain.
