I realized that Sensory Processing Disorder is not found in DSM yet.

Is it because sensory issues are kind of like Autism?


I don't know, I could be wrong.

I am actually staring to understand the differences between SCD and ASD.


Autism includes sensory issues and repetitive behaviors or restricted interests, but SCD only effects communication.



It makes a lot of sense, now that I think about it.

It's just that having trouble with social skills and difficulty communicating with or relating to others is one of the core symptom of Autism.
