Thanks everyone! I've been using PIA for years myself now and was first time I experienced it here. I did as you said and reported the block and now seems to be fine. I am running Opensuse so I use openvpn as the PIA native app doesn't fly on my op system. To me using a VPN is necessary. Call me a t...

Just curious as to why I can no longer log in via my vpn? It told me I had been blocked. I then after several tries suspended my operations over my vpn and am allowed in. Is this by design or policy? Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,
Bill

I found out in my mid-teens about it. Some friends and also family would let me know when I was inconsiderate and sometimes hurtful. So for many years I tried my best but mostly failed. My inability to read others leaves me sometimes guessing as to what they are feeling. I can sense something is off...

Also: For the record I was on various anti-depressants for ~8 years and I believe that being on drugs was a hindrance not a help. After a year off I no longer feel as if I'm under water. Thank you self for doing that for me. I am off one of my anti-depressants. Cold-Turkey as of a month ago. It has...
ItoryGal"It's exhausting pretending to be NT but that's what I do on the job....5 days a week.....just pose as an introvert. I don't talk anymore than I have to.
I did this for years with varying success. Most thought me rather odd and standoffish or even rude. Especia...

That explains why my and my sister's first attempt with SSI/SSDI was denied. Will probably let my mom know what I just learned here. Thanks guys. 60% of cases get denied at the first application. I got denied then, and then at my hearing and then at the appeal level. We may try the federal level ne...

I am guessing probably around 3 when I could read and write some. I was in day care at the time and remember it well to this day. They had these silly carpets in the closet that we had to lie on and take a nap. When kindergarten rolled around, I was already reading, writing, and doing mathematics at...

Only most of the time. Me too. It is quite disconcerting and it happens to me all the time. I normally will stare off to the distance if in a restaurant or something. Otherwise they may think I am staring at them. But I can most always "feel" their eyes on me and if I discreetly glance, q...

I working on getting funding from Neurotypical Speaks for discounts. What a terrible waste of funds, you should be ashamed! The money is much better spent seeking a genetic test for "NT Syndrome" so that we can rid the world of this terrible blight once and for all! Genet...

Me too. I talk to myself pretty much constantly, but I hate talking to other people. It's awkward and uncomfortable, and my voice is so quiet and I take so long to find my words that they interrupt me mid-sentence to tell me they can't hear me, or try to fill in words for me. It only makes it worse...

That is the boat I am in. I have a disability lawyer who only does disability cases and she gets paid nothing unless she wins. Sucks for her though because it can take over ten years to see a case through and there is no guarantee of winning. And I see how many hours she puts in and how hard she wo...

Many people are rejected at first, then get a lawyer on contingency (you don't have to pay unless you're successful), then seem to get approved at least somewhat often, with backpay. Alas, they have to give the lawyer about 1/3 of the backpay as a "fee." Actually the award is federally ca...

I wish Startrekker quite a bit of luck. I really do. I do hope there will be a day when she will be able to get off benefits. But for now, it seems like it would be good for her to be on benefits. I second this! They make it so incredibly hard for people who are truly in need. Best I can tell you i...

If you’re applying for SSDI, be prepared to be denied at almost all levels, unless your disability is terminal, and you may get it as a compassionate case, even with a competent attorney. Also, to be eligible for SSDI, you need to have at least 40 quarters of creditable work experience under your b...

I use the Sony MDRZX110NC noise canceling headphones. Cost me I think $30 and use with Soft Murmur app on my android for light background noise or play music. For what they are they work fairly well. Otherwise I buy earplugs multi-packs from Walmart for like $2 and they do the job.

Reality compared to what's in my head doesn't compare, never has. Most of the time I am lost in my own world and now that I am totally disabled, I never get out except when I have to. I used to be at least able to tolerate the outside world. Now I avoid it as I have little reason to be part of it.
