They are not as effective as the smallpox and polio vaccines. Perhaps at a later stage they can be seen as a true preventative? But the virus keeps mutating and at this rate we won't be free to do what we've always been accustomed to do, for a long while yet. It seems the vaccines reduce severity of...

Well in my opinion mental health is equally important - strong mind= strong body, which they haven't exactly been promoting in this pandemic. Fear and a weakened mental state contribute to a weakened immune system.

If only the vaccine did away with the possibility of transmission altogether, and meant an end to needing masks and distancing, then I'd be happier. But it seems like they're not at the point yet that the vaccine is a true preventative measure.

I'd feel more comfortable if the vaccine actually prevented Covid altogether, rather than merely makes symptoms less severe if you get it after vaccination. The vaccines for smallpox eradicated that eventually, while polio and several other illnesses were very nearly wiped out. Perhaps with time the...

It isn't true democracy when vice presidents are selected in a process that seems to exclude candidates who were far more popular among the public. They seem to have all these primaries in the US but they turn out a joke really. Same with the GOP. The voters never get much say in who is selected. Pl...

I don't think UD phrased what (I hope) he meant very well. I'm sure he meant to say "may he be reincarnated as someone in better circumstances" - as opposed to someone who had to struggle most of his life and never achieved what he so wanted. Unfortunately the sentence came out in a way th...

^Dox's post is meant as a joke - don't take it seriously... I am not sure what you mean by the Democrat / Taliban comparison in your post, but I expect that's tongue in cheek as well. It was hyperbole, a.k.a. an exaggeration meant to make a point. And it's my poetic license to do so. I'm aware that...

But there's a difference between being merely human in a biological sense and having humanity.

Some people don't have humanity, or, if they ever had any they've lost it long ago.
