Autism Speaks does good work, are you f*****g serious? They have zero Autistic board members, they want to find a cure for us, they put out heinous video advertisements and do not want to accommodate us. If you defend them, then I have no more words for you. The entire world isn't going to learn hu...

Accommodating neurodiversity isn't about memorising every trait of every condition, it works best by spreading awareness that people might behave differently in ways you might not have thought of. There are a few traits worth individually taking note of, e.g. in the UK there's some hope for not eve...

I get what the poster means about fading & that true "soul mate" sort of love doesn't rely on outward characteristics.. however, my great uncle Norman is now 90 years old and still has his wits and is still pretty damn strong - to shake his hand you'd swear he was 1/3 his age. He no lo...

Actually when you're quoting pseudo-science and women who have no science background, that does make you a liar and spreading potentially harmful information. If you support Autism $peaks, then I have no words. Also, who the hell are you to say the world shouldn't accommodate you? Are you being for...

I'm the type that likes to "do it" better than talking about it. I'm not really squeamish--but I just prefer actions over words within the realm of sex. This. Although I'm open to talking about it somewhat. i.e. about health/clinical things. I suppose I'd be more open to talking about sex...

AspBite makes some very good points. I just thought I'd share a couple things of my own. When I was a younger, I used to think and feel like you do.. until after I got laid. And then did so again.. and again. While I haven't ever really had a "relationship," yet at 32, I have had more sex...

anyways you and goldfish just prove my needing to kill myself. I really see no point in living in a pointless cruel world. No, we don't. That's a pretty awful thing to say to both of us. Especially since neither of us said anything even remotely related to that. Nor did either of us say anything ab...

"Let's force everyone to conform. Diversity is a really bad thing, and differing ways of doing things totally never helped with the advancement of civilization itself". AKA, no. Goldfish, the big thing you miss is that not everyone wants to be like you . If in theory a "cure" ex...

I like that they're doing this. While I enjoyed his book "Look me in the eyes," I don't like that John Elder Robison writes as if he speaks for all autistic people - which is ironic considering that's what he's complaining about Autism Speaks doing. I disagree with him on many of his point...

Antibiotic induced intestinal dysbiosis, ingested environmental toxins, poor diet, & likely a genetic predisposition/fault in the enteric nervous system. (and maybe that lack of synaptic pruning in the brain as some research has pointed towards) Fortunately it's treatable via diet, detox/cleans...

I didn't say not to have any interest. I have friends with eclectic interests, but they maintain a balance in their lives. I'm saying don't expect to play video games 24/7 and not have others perceive you in various negative lights for it. It may seem harsh, but it's reality that people judge obses...

Yes, definitely. Hugs are different when there's romantic interest, or a show of affection for a close friend, or hugging one's parent or relative, or sharing in grief.. etc. Different for every emotion a hug might be given or received for, and different depending on the intent of any non-verbal com...

It's pretty important. But good doesn't necessarily mean cologne. I don't care for almost all colognes, and especially don't care for strong ones or overuse of them. Good can simply mean clean & fresh. Also, here's a great cheap tip for ya: Get yourself a bottle of orange blossom water (made for...
