I used to be extremely harsh and unemotional with him, but I learned that he needed some softening in my words and thoughtful gestures in his love language (referring to The Five Love Languages). So I grew for him as well. I was wondering if someone was going to mention The Five Love Languages here... |

I don't think I've ever heard the latter before this point. What does it mean/What's the difference? :s Ladettes are tom boyish where as ladies are well, lady like I guess. I am neither being an eclectic mix of all sorts. In that case, if I had to choose, my tastes would probably sway more towards ... |

I dislike being on the receiving end of this, so I try not to dish it out myself. The only time I will is if I've communicated directly to the person and they still don't get it after many different methods (which is fairly rare, in my experiences). |

Personally, I don't like using the word "hot" to describe someone I'm attracted to. That aside, attractiveness entails personality for me, so I wouldn't be able to date someone solely on looks. |

Physically, people mistake me for much older than I am. Behaviour-wise, some say I act much younger (and this is true for some aspects). I suppose somewhere between those two perceptions of me lie my actual age |

I don't generally lack empathy. I generally know what people will feel and so can judge what to say and what not to say. I don't like being blunt, and if I do want to be blunt in a situation, I will be aware that this may upset them. We can all be blunt sometimes, but usually I know better not to b... |

The Aspies here who are musicians, what do you say? Do you think you have higher functioning in those areas as a result of studying music? I know I have trouble focusing in on one conversation when there are a bunch going on around me. Did you notice an improvement after several years of playing an... |

^ This. Sometimes I'll watch a YouTube clip of the game on top of that, but I try not to spoil it for myself. |

As far as dating goes, it's no different than friendships. There are people in the world who will appreciate directness and those who prefer to play NT games. You can drive yourself crazy trying to fit in with the game players, but you'll be happier in the long run if you avoid them, and stick with... |

People treat my default state as over-animated, often with a series comments similar to "Turn down the volume on your laugh". Eventually, it got so tiresome to try to accommodate their criticisms, so I said "screw it" and figure if they can't handle my default state, that's their problem. |
