I wonder if it's just because of the way we act, people perceive us as being younger, and maybe that gets confused with the way we look. |

I'm sure you're going to get a lot of people who disagree, but I totally relate. It has caused some serious trauma, anxiety, and depression. It seems the general consensus is that AS does not correlate with poor hygiene. It seems like the responses here are a lot higher in favor of poor hygiene than they would be if you asked NTs. I hate being touched, especially when I'm trying to figure something out. Loud voices, alarm clocks, and trains are the worst, sound-wise. I also hate silence. I do the breaking up thing too, but I separate it longer. I'll watch an entire episode of a TV show before going back to my work. It seems to have worked for me so far. |
