I write unit tests during the code development if that's what you mean. .... Actually my question is more specific. Sorry my communication skills let me down*, but the poll asks about writing unit tests before writing the code to be tested. Namely the Test-Driven Development methodology in which yo...

I think it's a shame some major corporation didn't invest serious money to develop a Linux desktop that could have competed with Windows and MacOS. Or especially they could have developed a high-end desktop or laptop based on a Linux build optimized for that specific platform. They could have serio...

As there is an Autism Spectrum there is also a Jewishness Spectrum. If not convinced, spend a little time at Jew or Not Jew . Anyway, in my case, I was raised by atheists (my mother actually joined the Methodist Church for social reasons but admitted to me not long before her death at 92 that she ne...

Well I couldn't wait any longer so I ordered a Toshiba S55-A5188 with i7 processor and 12 GB RAM on Amazon for $US748.99 plus $8.49 shipping. I don't suppose Toshiba is as well regarded as ASUS however I am a programmer so processing power and memory matter more to me than graphics and audio. I hope...

One country that is clearly divided into two camps is Spain. If you disregard the complications posed by potentially separatist regions esp. Catalonia, I could categorize most Spanish people I've met as clearly either left or right. The divisions that existed during the Civil War are still alive. Th...

To answer the original question, I would hesitate to recommend her simply because she has no executive experience. For the same reason, I doubt she is seriously interested. Whoever succeeds Obama will most likely be a Republican and there's an excellent change she'll be a major player in that White ...

Although perhaps not the greatest of all time, I would have to give props to Life On Mars/Ashes to Ashes (especially the first). Of course these were meant as an homage to The Sweeney (just mentioned) which I've never seen. Given his screen name, I'd expect the OP to like these. Part of the appeal f...

An HTC Incredible 2 from Verizon which I got almost 2½ years ago. I have to keep it until June due to how contracts work in the US.

It has survived all this time largely due to the military-grade rubber Otterbox I got for it when it was new.

Perhaps individual shower stalls should become the standard. The last health club I belonged to had them. It's no big deal. Requiring men to shower together communally may have started as a way to humiliate them into passivity, anyway. Isn't it true that in some places (high school gymnasiums, swimm...
