For me, it kind of feels like a wave I need to ride out alone. I become uncommunicative and it's hard to do any kind of reaching out (it feels futile, and I don't want to drag anyone down or waste energy on things I can't explain anyway). I think it's good you're there for him, even just in the back...

I didn't used to like Facebook, but it has grown on me. It keeps me updated on certain events, and when people aren't oversharing too much I can stay low-key in touch. It does seem to get more invasive... like I'll get notifications that my friend is at an event nearby. Which is just creepy.

I wish I could nap properly. I wake up totally disoriented or feeling feverish after though, so I try not do it unless I'm really exhausted.

When I was young, I watched a lot of true crime on ID and CI. I read a lot of books about serial killers or just learned about forensics. It's not a topic which I could really discuss with other children or teens.

I don't think you led him on by giving out your number, since you've been upfront also about the difference between his online and real life behaviour already. Maybe this honesty did give out a signal that you weren't really interested in him. It's easier to talk online than face-to-face though, so ...
