Suggestion: 1)List specific examples of your autistic traits prior to getting worse 2)List specific examples of how your traits got worse 3) List specific examples of how you have improved. Have you read "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome," by Dr. Tony Attwood? I had nearly EVERY ASD trait ... |

67 on this one so average. On the more typical narcissism tests - for the overt kind - I score extremely low. |

I'm glad it has worked out! So far I have only told one co-worker, and that was because that co-worker said she might have Asperger's and knows a few people who do. Other co-workers hat I am comfortable talking with, I have mentioned specific social things that I don't get, but haven't mentioned he ... |

I can relate to Otto. I am the clingy wannabe friend of an NT who used to invite me to do stuff with her(simple everyday things every now and then) and now doesn't. This hurts a lot. I have depression that was in remission but is coming back. I started having symptoms around the same time my "friend... |

I think this is one of the main reasons I can't make/maintain close friendships. People expect me to initiate, but I don't. I know I need to but I am terrified of doing so. I think it would be helpful if I could have someone help me invite people to do things gradually. Ex. The first step would be s... |

Yes, I think it does. Right now I am in a negative loop, thinking about failures of any attempt I've ever made to try to make close friends. I feel making close friends is impossible for me. I think this because all of the failures come to mind(negative thinking). I have plenty of evidence that my a... |

Well this is awkward. :( Several people have just told you they don't know any Deaf people on WP, yet they know of me and have been involved with discussions where I have given rather an abundance of information about Deaf autistics and/or sign language several times in the past month. I must not b... |

I don't have the regional accent of my local area. I wasn't aware of this until people pointed it out. Multiple people have made that observation. I have even had someone think I wasn't from this area... though I have lived here my entire life! I tend to speak formally(not perfectly, but significant... |
