12. Can you even fathom murdering someone at that age?

If the person in question (the controller) doesn't know the impact it has on you, or doesn't know how they come across, then assertiveness and a talk with them might save the relationship. Unfortunately, that's usually not the case. Said person is fully aware that they're out of line, but tell thems...

I've experienced this with instructors, also. In fact, I've experienced this in all aspects of my life. The signs are subtle, but I still pick up on them. Like you said, less eye contact, and they seem more receptive to other students. You could almost say they seem a bit annoyed when I'm around. I ...

Who really decides this? Probably a staunchly atheistic group of elitist intellectuals, and it's all a bunch of backslapping. There are probably better candidates, but he happens to be the biggest name among them.

Well I like Alex. I'm sure everybody here knows him already from the front page and his other videos with his chums, etc. However, I don't like Alex that much to see his face on every single WP page! It's like having his poster up on my bedroom wall, gross. But hey if they swapped that picture for ...

Ohhhh, I see. I didn't know what they meant by active. I'm sure in the future the diagnosis will be revised further, and some of these subtypes will get their own categories, because that is a MAJOR difference right there. Not exactly...it's terms invented in a book, that appear to have been genera...

Depends on what one means by success. Upward mobility surely requires keen social skills, but exceeding at any job requires the ability to do the work efficiently and effectively, in which I believe IQ is the most important. To be among the richest, and not accounting for other factors, I would say...

In essence, if you're "active but odd", A) you actively approach other people ("most of the time" you initiate social interaction and do not withdraw from other people's approaches, you do not ignore it if others attempt to engage you socially and you do not simply stay passive, meaning you do allo...

I think most aspies would fall into an active but odd classification. Most are functional in society, but people still pick up on their mannerisms, or just something.

That has horrible implications. Humans are less likely to LOVE their offspring for having spectrum behaviors. How hated IS this autism?

Yes, it is very painful to be excluded and ostracized, and over the long term it has increased my anger towards those responsible. However, at this stage of my life (I'll be 50 in September), I am very close to (if not already at) stage 3... giving up and just doing my own thing. I think those thre...

I've said it countless times here at WP. The beatings I endured in school hurt but they were NOTHING compared to being ostracized by almost the entire class in grade 8. I'm still battling the negative effects of this to this day and it took only a few weeks (after it stopped) for the bruises to hea...

They MAY be based on reason, but the question in this topic is whether naming them after the victim helps, hinders or does not affect them being based on reason. I believe that it hinders it....
