Your thread made me angry and I discussed it with my husband, who has worked for the same company for 13 years (not consecutively). He says he's run across at least 3 employees in the same boat. And at one time, he was also treated this way. Currently he is counselling employees who are mistreating...

I'm overly wordy, but to sum it all up, I'm trying to figure out the same thing, though part of me says that almost nothing follows the rules absolutely, I sort of wish they did, but they don't :)

Seriously, I said before, what brought me here is because I was trying to look up info on Autism in general, cause I was hired at a place with an Autistic co-worker, and realized (even if it turns out that isn't really what's wrong with me) I have a heck of a lot of Aspie traits myself. But putting ...

That was fun for some reason. Though actually that same site claimed highly sensitive doesn't equal Asperger's and that's actually the sign you don't have it.

As I've said in other threads, still comfused what's considered Asperger's and what is not 8O

I have to agree with you on that. I can relate and almost fit, but I'm very sensitive and emotional, too emotional actually, my main problem, though I can't accurately predict the emotions under a person either... though I think I'm repeating what I said. I'll research this a bit more too, maybe I'm...

Hi, I've learnt on my short stay on this site that being gifted, shy/introverted, socially awkward and directly honest are not enough to warrant the term of AS. Its more likely you are a gifted person and nothing more serious than that :) To be AS, according to those on this site, your symptoms wou...

What happens with me is I think I know someone when I first meet them, but then it comes out later I totally misjudged them and I didn't really understand them at all! Or I apparently just go by the words they say when judging someone, and I can't see underneath. Mostly I tell people what I think of...

Hmmm... 8O I'm freaked out! Anyway, I can go on and on, but basically I've always known I'm not like other people, I suspect I'm an Aspie. In school, I was in Special Ed despite being Gifted, I actually emailed one of my old Special Ed teachers reciently, I was labeled "ED/Gifted" back in those days...
