I work as a traditional rigger, which includes taking care of ships and boats riggs as well as having workshops where I teach splicing, whippings, and knot tying. I also do some rope making and sail making, and some woodworking (blocks, masts, etc.) Before that, I had my own company importing classi...

I read very slowly, but I remember everything! Due to the slow reading and unability to skim texts, I learned everything from spoken lessons in school. I have a good memory for things being said too. During my assessment, I found out that my working memory is quite poor, but it shows more with calcu...

I had my assesment right after Christmas and got diagnosed with Autism in January. Really quick process, due to that I did it privately and not via Vårdcentralen etc. I had had suspicions of Autism for some years, since my son has a diagnosis. The main reason for me getting diagnosed was because I h...

People usually understand that I have some level of inteligence. If I wanted to, I could join Mensa. It's when it comes to intelectualism where they get confused. Sure I'm a punk and a rebel, but I've read Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman. It's hard for some people to grasp that one who listens to M...

It's just like IRL.
I don't behave and talk the same with my grandparents as I do with my friends. I don't talk and behave the same at work as I do at the chess club.

I didn't really open up even to my family.
My therapist is urging me to start sharing personal things and thoughts with others, the idea is that it will help me to get friends. We'll see how it goes, it's not easy.

Forgot bosses, who can be any of the above. But they also like to have meaningless meetings, collect statistics that they never use for anything, and they have a weird love for teamwork with post-it notes.

Categories of my colleagues: 1. Ultra normal. Married, house, a dog, two children, thinks a week in Thailad is the ultimate vacation, career is everything, no passions, interests: TV, sports, and work. 2. Glassy sales type people. Always happy to see you and asks how you're doing, but it's obvious t...

TL;DR, but I seem to end up in situations where I get a good feeling about people, and keep bombarding them with emails, skype messages etc without getting responses. I try to tell them to stop me if I get irritating, and that it's not that I have a romantic interest in them, I just enjoy it when I ...

It's complicated. I am quite careful about who I trust nowadays, though I generally think good of everybody by instinct. I used to trust everybody, which sometimes didn't turn out all that good. So I don't allow people to get close to me. Therefore no new friends since around 2002. Now my therapist ...

Telecommute Earplugs See if you can move your desk at work If that was for me. Telecommuting only works to a small extent. See, I work with boats and ships. My ears are not compatible with earplugs, but I'm scouting for noice reduction earcups. These seem very interesting https://guardiosafety.com/...

I was extremely clear when assesed to mention things that spoke against a diagnosis. Like "Do you like word play?" "Very much so, but it could come from my grammas second husband who was very fond of those kinds of jokes," "Your uncle told me you could go skiing for hours as...

Well, I'm out of here. I have no interest in learning separate definitions of things, regardless of how faulty the established terms may or may not be. Just a quickie about soulmates, not as an argument, just telling. My best friend and I have known each others for over 30 years. She knows me better...

I don't quite get it. If I'll find someone who wants to have sex with me, be in a reltionship with me, or move in with me; and I feel the same way, then why not? I don't think I find that satisfactory anymore. I want a lot more than that. Now I'm confused, I thought you wanted less than that. And t...
