AlterNet story: While moving his gun to the glove box in his car, the firearm accidentally went off and shot the student, who suffered an injury to his leg but will survive, according to police. Um, guns don't just go off by themselves. They discharge either intentionally or by careless handling. I...

I think kids with AS these days are coddled. We did not have the luxury of technology in the '80's and nerdy was most definitely not cool. I shall leave it at that. Yeah nerdy didn't become cool until mtv re-invented 'emo' for their personal gain. sometime after the 90s I think.... and witho...

I have to constantly remind myself that I got to what the best of my potential allowed for, considering my family (socioeconomic and psychological) background and my AS. From that point of view, I'm happy and proud of myself. . I can definately relate to that. I'm 27 I went to school for early chil...

Yup. I'm the black sheep for both good and bad reasons. I went away for school and work and to have a life, which makes some of my family insanely jealous. I never got married or had kids which is the first priority for most of my family. I really can't relate to most of them or even most people in ...

Ahh the 80s....miami vice, 3s company, fluorescent clothes, jelly shoes, and scary hair.... I didn't know how to relate to other kids and was afraid of strangers. School was scary, constant over stimulation and I just sat quietly and played with my hair or would get on a swing during recess sometime...

I should mention I'm not lawyer, but I would think, based on my experience with law, that the case would hinge around your physical injuries to start. They make and sell a product that should be safe for the public. This one wasn't. So who is at fault? The factory? The company? Was it damaged in shi...

I can relate. I'm struggling with regular stuff as well. I have very little energy left for even cleaning or personal care and no mental room for making decisions. I've just been pushed beyond my limits for far too long and I don't know what to do. Will you have a break and a time to recharge at so...

Sorry to hear and its good you're trying to connect with people online. I would suggest at least going for walks if you can. Even if you don't have any destination nearby, just getting up and moving can possibly help with your mood.

All I can suggest is what I try based on the accepted protocal. I like to smile at each person, because i h...

I've been under a lot of work, emotional, and mental stress. Not sure how else to describe it. Got fed up with my mother because she asks me for advice, then tells me to not run her life. There she goes making another bad decision and I have to suffer the consequences. Not only that but she complain...
