The only reason cigarettes are still legal is because big corporations make billions off of them and the government gets billions in extra taxes. Smoking around kids is like giving them candy made with lead or injecting them with mercury. The tobacco companies knowingly created and sold a product th...

I had a CAT and MRI. Both were normal as they usually are in people with autism/Asperger's. The best scan to detect differences is the functional MRI (fMRI). Differences may also show up on SPECT and PET scans. They aren't very specific. I think about 25% of normal healthy people have abnormal SPECT...

Most of my family on both sides have autistic traits. It resulted in me not getting evaluated even though I had every symptom because these traits are normal in my family. I didn't even say my first word until after my 3rd birthday. I never smiled, laughed, or interacted with anyone when I was a bab...

Hello zendell. I gave up wheat & dairy products for an extended period of time, but found that it made little difference. If you notice an improvement, though, go for it, and good luck! The diet only works for people who have a problem with the enzyme that digests the wheat & dairy proteins...

Its nice to meet a fellow Final Fantasy addict, whats your favorite one? I like Final Fantasy X the best. My second favorite is Final Fantasy VII. I really like a good storyline. I pretend I'm the main character and pretend that the other members in my party are my friends. I also like the adventur...

I like people who are direct and aren't afraid to say what they think. :) I don't like people who confuse their thoughts with their emotions and watch what they say to avoid offending anyone.

I have a tendency to hyperfocus on one interest at a time. I was into baseball cards for awhile. Then it was computer programming. After that it was poker. Now that I'm more aware of it, I try not to spend too much time on one thing. I ended up missing out on alot.

I hope my post above doesn't offend anybody. Someone told me of the origins and I had to research the history to see if he was right and I think it's interesting where it came from. If your whole family celebrates Christmas and you don't, then you feel left out. I think the Church wanted to allow pe...

Christmas doesn't have anything to do with Christianity. According to the history books I read, it started 4,000 years ago as a celebration of the winter solstice. The Romans called it Saturnalia. It was a very popular holiday that everyone celebrated. People partied, got drunk, had sex, and worship...

I'm new here. I wondered how someone could have Asperger's but socialize well but I see what you mean after you explained it. I'm only good at talking to people about something I know well and am interested in but small talk or getting to know people I'm terrible. I don't think it matters a whole lo...

Thanks for welcoming me. I'm glad to see that someone read my post. Smelena, I like the "Cure Neurotypicals Now!" you got next to your name. I look normal so when neurotypical people see me act different in social situations I think they think I'm crazy or just some weirdo and don't want to be aroun...
