Americans are suposedly supposed to take pride in their country AND trust in God (we are a dominantly Christian country). ...isn't pride one of the deadly sins? Just sayin. Not just Americans. I was born in Russia and came to US at 14, so I know both countries. In Russia the Russian patriot...

I realize that Asperger and autism have commonalities, but there are other disorders that also have commonalities with autism that are classified separately -- in particular, Schizoid Personality Disorder and Social Communication Disorder. Do you think one or both of those two disorders should be br...

So I met a girl on a dating site, and we are several states away. One big thing we have in common is that she seems to like about me what most people don't. Most people are telling me that I am only talking about myself and am not interested in anyone else's life. She was the opposite: she told me I...

Patriotism: Pride in who you are. Nationalism: Pride in who you are not. Nice that you brought it up. Now let me point out one thing: the purported nationalists claim that they very much ARE those things they are proud of. So IF they are right THEN -- by your definition -- they would be patriots ra...

I watched a passion scene on youtube, and it was really painful to watch, I couldn't stand it for more than half a monute and even that was difficult. But then, after closing off the screen, I found a way to make myself better: I reminded myself of all the wars they fought on the name of Christ. So,...

Won't help much if you barely eat but drink liters of sugary cola... rather stick with bottled water or with juices. Not saying you did, but sometimes people don't think much about their liquid intake. When it's hot I don't want to bring sugary water either cause sweetness makes thirst only worse. ...

I don't know much about the topic but would be interested to know if people who regularly visit places such as saunas and steam baths are likely to lose any weight, since they sweat a lot. I wasn't talking about sweating, I was talking about decreased appetite. As far as sweating thats just water w...

I think my life phases went in the opposite order from most people's life phases. Most people worry about socialization as a teenager and worry about career as adults. I was the opposite. I was focused on my career as a teenager and focused about socialization (well, lack thereof) as an adult. So it...

The common wisdom says that pasta is fattening. But when I look at the pasta package, its only 190 calories, and I could cook it to eat like three plates. So this would suggest one can lose weight with pasta, at least calorie-wise. So why do people say the opposite? Is it because it is bad calories?...

When I am in hot climate, I don't typically want to eat, I only want to drink. This being the case, sometimes I am wondering why don't anyone ever recommends people to go to hot climate to lose weight? Could it be because the heat slows down metabolism as well (which is "why" I don't want ...

So I had a dream where there was a guy who was going to have a fight with some other guys. I wasn't part of that fight, I was actually just helping this guy to carry some things somewhere (I remember how I was confused just which of those things were his since there were so many other things belongi...
