That's an amazing account! We should be using that in our health system. Another thing I like about that is: It’s a glowing tribute to the immense kindness of strangers. It always baffles me why strangers are generally so much kinder than people we know. Total strangers have helped me often and in t...

The rural population surrounding me at the moment has a lot going for it, being for one thing refreshingly into friendliness and helping one's neighbour, unlike what I'm used to in the big cities I've always lived in before. So I'm gradually transferring my view that only Bohemians, dropouts, oddba...

So tomorrow I have the appointment for the coil to be removed. I'm very nervous as the last time the doctor was impatient and uncaring. No idea what the doctor will advise about contraception going forward. It used to be: use contraception for 2 more years after the menopause but the coil has made i...

But even though we were the 'losers' corner, we had some great, fun times together. We were a group of girls, and we found ourselves sitting next to a group of 'loser' boys, so the two groups made friends! We were often the loudest group in the common room. You don't need to be popular to have a go...

He told me that last year and so we decided to hang out and go back to being friends. Then a few weeks later, we went to kissing and making out. That tells me all I need to know. He wants 'Friends with Benefits' or 'F*ckbuddies' not an equal, loving partnership. I'm glad you have figured him out an...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember in the Bill Clinton era, the Russians were trying to get rid of the Taliban but didn't have the support to do it.

I have to say I think we should focus on supporting Summer Twilight and not discussing the meaning of idioms. Because it annoys me when that happens in my posts.

I think real life friendship is dying out tbh. Even families aren't close anymore, they are more competitors. People are separate entities now, they don't need each other because they have computers, endless entertainment and online friends/ parasocial relationships. People need to work as much as ...

Just to put some more context on one of my earlier points. In the last 20 years we are seeing an inevitable transition of our personal identities being exaggerated online personas that distort the reality of our true personality/self to other people. This exaggeration also happens when we meet peop...
