No. Just no. ...and I agree with the goal of ending suffering, which is why I support hospice/palliative care (i.e. care that focuses on quality of life at the POSSIBLE expense of length of life). You seem quite well-informed about all of this, and I am curious about what you mean when you mention ...

I found it interesting reading that the first leak on the Cuban Missile crisis came from the VP... With Kennedy's blockade announcement having been made just six days after the missiles had been discovered, what "leak" would that have been? In any case, and as much as I despise most of th...

I don't want to be impolite... I just want to be nice to them. Whenever someone calls to offer something I had not already specifically requested in a previous call I had initiated, I simply state that I am not interested and then hang up the phone. By doing that, I am freeing the caller of his or ...

Let anyone and everyone have the opportunity to immigrate, but do not provide anything free-of-charge -- they must pay their own ways for schooling, health care and anything else -- and then immediately deport any and all found guilty of criminal charges. For those who request to become citizens, le...

I been reading about Sling & Roku, I think Roku is better, do Roku have they own TVs?

Roku is a device as well as a service, and Sling is available from Roku if you want more channels. The Roku TVs I have seen only have 720p resolution and you want 1080p for the best display of HD.

Think of Roku as a "hub" with all the others you have mentioned being available from there. Also, our Roku device works best while wire-connected to our router rather than through Wi-Fi...but that might be different for you depending upon which Roku device you have and the speed of your ro...

My wife and I use an outdoor antenna for local OTA (Over-The-Air) channels -- true HD where cable, satellite and internet channels are not -- then we have a Roku device for getting more free channels [as well as a Sling TV subscription] from the internet. The Roku needs an HDMI connection at the TV,...

And I wonder.... If forgiveness ain't happening, what is the next best thing :?: Because there has to be a third option. Not just grudge, forgiveness...... Yes, the third option is to have compassion for the offender just as we would for someone who might puke on our shoes when he or she is physica...

No, that is when people tend to become complacent unless they have already assumed responsibility for their own security. You're certainly entitled to believe that. From where o...
