I used to but unfortunately I think I have replaced fidgeting with snacking. Maybe I need a chew toy.

Also... since I still feel bullied every now and then, my analytical mind has to accept my part in allowing it. I think I'm I'm sometimes too scared to speak up for myself, or I hesitate and end up getting bulldozed when people lack personal integrity, intelligence or their focus is overwhelmed by ...

I notice weird things about people all the time and I shop at Walmart. If I point it out to another person, am I being a bully? But, come on... if you hang thirty rings on your nose, ears and eyebrows, wear a thong outside your sweats and have a tattoo of a chair on your arm, I'm going to notice. I...

Yes it's been happening for me, the last couple of weeks since I realized I may have AS. Especially after I started posting here and realized other people deal with a lot of the same things I do. It makes me let my guard down. I'm finding it harder than ever to "put my face on" when I go to work. To...

Sweetleaf I don't know why you were called a bully, I read that and it didn't make any sense to me. I agree with hyperlexian, bullying does not have to be intentional. Sometimes people hurt others without realizing it, out of carelessness. Overt bullying is someone picking on you, making threats, hi...

I think that's the problem I can't find any people like that.

I'm not talking about bullying that is happening now, but when it happened in the past and it still bothers you. How do you let it go?

What about all these charity scams that tug on people's emotional strings?

I've never been the least bit fooled by that sort of thing. Emotional pleas of any kind don't move me.

but I do find it interesting that people sometimes have the assumption that just knowing something is enough to clear a particular cognitive hurdle (I had this assumption too, even though it's even wrong about me). Like knowing that people lie is not the same as understanding that people lie, or be...

The more I think about it, I don't know if I am naive, so much as I am idealistic. I guess a lot of people would say it's the same thing.

I picked nocturnal but wasn't sure which one fit really. I was going to say crepuscular, because I love twilight, but I hate getting up early. I'd rather be asleep at dawn. I like to sleep around 2am-10am. I used to have a really terrible time with my sleep cycles, I called it chasing myself around ...

I have a very, very, very low threshold for boredom with external things. But I can entertain myself with my own thoughts anytime. It's only when I have too many external distractions going on that I get bored.

Is that because of ADHD? Do you know what measurable cognitive factor, more exactly, might be responsible for these difficulties? I'm not sure. Yes I think it has a lot to do with my ADHD but not entirely and I don't know specifically what aspects of it have caused the most trouble for me. There ar...
