It's been a life changing experience for me. I'm able to deal with my extreme anxiety and depression in a much calmer way. I'm also feeling other emotions that I typically don't experience. I'm more balanced in my emotional life. I speak about my journey in my blog that's listed in my profile. :)

Reading through a few of your old posts this is not a new issue and was already determined in another thread that this can be AS related, but...BUT...he has to take responsibility for himself and his own behavior. I can certainly sympathize with him about how hard life must be for him as per your li...

I have been undergoing therapy for something similar. Mine is more directed at my husband only, and almost never my kids, who I have tons of empathy and patience for. This in turn hurts my husband very deeply. It's not him, but the fact that my anxiety and depression was so out of control that his d...

Could it be Topographic Agnosia?[ Info About Topographic Agnosia ] I swear I have this. Even though I am a very visual person I cannot memorize directions. I don't know East, West, ect... I rely heavily on my GPS system and refuse to drive very far from home, especially if it's on busy highways that...

After reading the responses in the thread Do You Hear An Inner Voice When You Read? I was really surprised at the results. So many of you said you did, which I don't, for the most part. My next question is, How do you spell words? What is your thought process on that? I see the word typed out in my ...

Well, I feel kind of excluded now, because I like talking about boys and fashion! I understand what you're saying when they do it excessively. It's annoying. I wish I could talk about my interests to them, but they just aren't interested... So yeah. Also, if you're complaining about how they just s...

My subvocalisation disappears at higher reading speeds, such as when I'm reading a novel. I subvocalise when I have to read slower and concentrate on more technical things in non-fiction books. ^^ This. Any book or text that absorbs me, I'll process and move forward before words start to echo in my...

This thread reminds me of a similar discussion we had here awhile back about Subvocalization "Do you subvocalize while reading?" I certainly do hear a voice in my head when I read. I am very much an auditory person and I have to be able to hear that voice. I can't read in a loud place, not necessar...

The article states that they think people with ADHD also have no inner speech. There's a test on the page to see how if you do. I failed miserably, as did my dyslexic, ADHD hubby. Could you post a link? I'm curious to see how I do on it. I'm quite aware that I have inner speech, but it doesn't seem...

I came across this article that talks about dyslexics not hearing an inner voice when they read, or at all really. I don't either, and I know I'm not dyslexic. I've always been a strong reader. I'm wondering if it's more to do with thinking in pictures. I don't think that I ever really hear my voice...

The other day my family and I were at the store and the cashier, who remembered us from other times before, thought that I was my 13 yo daughter's sister and that my hubby was our dad. I'm 32 and my husband is 36. Last summer someone thought that I was my 9 yo old son's sister, too. Explains why som...

I know I am going to be hated for saying this but I believe suicide posts do not belong on WrongPlanet. They pretty much in danger the site with possible lawsuits if the site moderators do not do enough to prevent or report the suicide. I would hate to see WP go down because someone attempted suide...

lol yeah its so cool and trendy not to have social skills, its the new thing.....I would not be bothered by what idiots on the internet say they are just trying to upset people probably. That's what I wonder. Why would having the social skills of a feral cat be cool? Though, I think it has more to ...
