I would argue ignostic atheism would be the most inherently neutral position, not believing while simultaneously not ever considering why one has never considered the question. All other positions, whether agnostic, materialist and atheistic, atheistic but not materialist, mono/pan/poly-theistic, e...

And these?: My choice which intellectual construct I embrace. I choose to believe in the non-existence of a god. Apparently concessions that Atheism is both choice (as opposed to logical or reasonable conclusion) and an "intellectual construct", the same description you used earlier for T...

That is why I circumnavigate Mikah. I don't really want to do this anymore. I've seen your response. After two apparent "concessions", you have again taken a step backwards in the argument. This only makes sense to me in one way. You typed those concessions only because some respectable a...

The three Abrahamic religions share so much---perhaps this knowledge is why they are at each other's throats constantly-----it's almost like they're siblings squabblng amongst each other. From an outsider's perspective, it is like them looking in a mirror. So many similarities. It is perplexing why...

I believe the "true agnostic" would be the closest to my position. I leave the questions open and explore freely multiple possibilities - with the most (for me) interesting possibilities being: You are young. You might get there eventually. If you do, give me a call and I will meet you wi...

I know what you mean. The “nicer” atheist would be an “agnostic atheist”—which is me, who doesn’t believe in a Supreme Being, but doesn’t preclude the possibility of one. A true agnostic would be one who doesn’t take a position either way. Who says there might be gods.....or there might not be gods...

It was a long video but well worth watching. A lot of food for thought. Quite an eye-opener. Made in 2013, if I understand Roman Numerals. Glad to hear it :) Yes 2013. All his films are worth watching. I don't really see him as left wing just against injustice and corruption. As I am I but I'm not ...

Theist: God exists. Atheist: Prove it! Theist: God exists because God exists. It's obvious. Atheist: Your proof doesn't hold! God doesn't exist! Theist: Prove it! Atheist: God doesn't exist because God doesn't exist. It's obvious. Theist: See? Your proof doesn't hold! God exists. OK. You gott [sic]...

The fallacy is: take his reasoning, replace the word "God" with the word "mathematics" and... tadam, everything holds perfectly :D I believe you actually mean: "Tada" or "ta da". My spelling preference is "Ta dah", btw. <me: always focusing o...

tl;dr You sound like a teenager petulantly stomping their foot and shouting 'you just don't get it', and you're right. I don't get why you insist that anyone who doesn't accept that your perfect imaginary friend is real is ignorant, but the circular logic and constant 'well, what do you know compar...
