Juvenile hall is the worst place to put an autistic child. Ask anyone who had served time in both juvie and jail, and they'll tell you juvie was worse. There's a good reason why they're called gladiator schools. And an autistic kid would be easy prey for other juvenile offenders, who have raging hor...

As much as we Conservatives oppose public education, at least we have succeeded in controlling what is "taught" in the public schools http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37271857/ns/us_news-life/ Why the quotes around the word taught. Some subjects are actually taught in the tax funded schools, even elemen...

I think all four of the main male characters have some form of AS. Trust me, I've met (and am friends with) plenty of Aspies who don't exactly SEEM Aspie (I wish I could count myself as one, but people generally seem to detect that there's just something "different" about me, lol), which I why I th...

A friend once showed me a listing of hilarious answers from written exams. As I read, I laughed all the way through it. But the one that sticks in my mind to this day is:

The 1890's saw the introduction of the man raper. It raped by the thousands.

I thought it was an okay movie, but my wife absolutely loved it. She's a big super hero freak.

Sounds a lot like me. But then again, I've always been an insomniac, and consider myself to be a night owl. My little daughter is much the same way, so I think it's just something about how an Aspie's brain works. I tend to do most of my writing at night, anyway, so it all works out. -Bill, otherwis...

Being that I was considered a nerd, geek, spas, and over all outcast myself, it was only natural for me to associate with "my own kind" back in grade school, junior high, and high school. I have even kept up friendships with some of them after all these years. In college, I found there was much less...

My family is very German on both sides. But on my dad's side (Black Sea Germans), there is also a little Swedish and Polish. On my mom's side, there's a little Austrian. Basically, I usually describe myself as a German American.

I am desperately trying to find a movie on DVD written, directed, produced, and starring Crispin Glover called What Is It. A friend who works at Blockbuster tried finding it for me, but with no luck. Possibly, because the movie had only a very limited release in art house movie theaters, he thought ...

I think the only reason why this post was written in the first place, is because the lady in question is Obama's aunt. Come on, we're a generous, humane country, and we have always opened out arms to those in need. I do agree we need to help the people of Tibet; they are a people with a long and pro...

I have to wonder if any reputable doctor would even undertake a procedure to "fix" a patient in this day and age.

Is it a fact that socrates was into boys sexually? Are you sure that they weren't platonic relationships? I wouldn't go taking wikipedia's word for anything.
