I'm sure these alternative chairs would be very comfy, increase productivity, reduce health care costs, etc. But the thing is, though, that NTs would never accept anything like this. I mean, they wouldn't prevent you from using an alternative chair. But using one of these "weird" chairs at a cubicle...

thanks for posting the buffy vs. edward video- that was hillarious! I've read all four books, at the insistence of someone. It took all of two weeks. The story had good potential, if it were in the hands of a decent writer. But, then again, she's rich, so one could define her as a "success." Now to ...

I worked briefly as a waitress, briefly because I stank at it. One young woman asked for a a beverage with a French name. I had never heard of it, and I assumed it was a type of wine. Me: "May I see some ID please?" Her: "ID for what?" Me: "I'm sorry, but we have to see identification for anyone who...

I'm not so sure I agree 100% with your therapist that you're TRYING to scare people away. I think it's that you haven't learned yet the social strategies to make and keep friends. Often this is as much, or more, about what NOT to do/say, than what TO do/say. The *good* news in this case is that thes...

Does your college offer any sort of career testing you could do? Have you ID'd why you are doing poorly in the classes? Is it because the material is too hard? Are you having problems taking notes/understanding the lectures? Are you able to read the textbooks, or do you find it difficult to process ...

I read about these in one of Temple Grandin's book, and wanted to give it a shot. Except the one diagnostician in my entire state hasn't returned my phone calls in close to two weeks. (I made two calls.) And there's not even a diagnostician for the neighboring state. Does anyone actually have these?...

Love this show. It's so spot-on. Parents take their Aspie son to a playdate. Dad: His name is Noell [I dunno how it's spelled], and he's a really interesting kid. You might like him. Maybe he could become a friend. Max: Why do I need a friend? Dad: Friends are fun. Max: Can you give me a reason why ...

I don't know all the details of the back story ... But upsetting ONE person is not the end of the world. All you can do is realize what happened, and learn from it. What lessons can you take from this event? Everyone makes mistakes. It's how we learn. Unfortunately for us Aspies, those mistakes can ...

I almost think that any clinician who sees a woman who has social problems as automatically BPD. Aspie women are dramatically undiagnosed. I am hoping this is something that will change over the next 10 years. Of course, it'll no longer be called "Asperger's" then ...

There's one woman at work who is very difficult. She likes to make my life miserable, but there is no one else who can do what she does. Today I very calmly got her to do several things the way I wanted by asking her a series of questions. In the past, when she resisted very rudely, I would get rile...

Can you take some more advanced classes, so you won't be bored? Can you test out of any subjects? could you do some sort of independent study, or internship, that would challenge you?

Also if you are able to teach people, see if you can get a paid tutoring gig. :)
