I am confident he will remain in New Zealand. There is strong public opinion that he should do and will do. Jacinda accepts that. In any event, NZ has no agreement with OZ that would enable his return. He will stay here until he dies, and it would not surprise me if he somehow manages to end his own...

The thread has captured a wide range of comments, the op wants it locked, and that seems timely.

Big hug to Magz as she navigates the learning curve of moderation and strengthens the team. Her work will make a terrific contribution.

Bit of a change of plan this morning, I developed an infection late last week, so the op is going to be rescheduled for July or August. I'm glad they are taking a prudent approach, its the best option.

In a few days I am going into hospital for major surgery and a long recovery is anticipated due to various factors. I'm announcing here (because it is more likely to be read by more members) that I am unavailable for mod requests via PM until further notice. Please use the other means of reporting (...

I happened to chance upon the announcement of a new journal coming out, which may or may not address genuinely late diagnosis. I say "genuinely" because usually the term "late diagnosis" has nearly always been applied to people diagnosed in their 20s - ignoring anyone older, help...

I'm astonished. Also curious as to whether this news of an Irish epitaph on an Irish grave was generally received in Ireland with astonishment, and/or anger, unsurprised complacency or what...

Zone out tendencies aren't certainly aren't specific only to AS people, from my observations. It was a sort of surprise to see Anne coming out with this, as I can't really imagine her having an intimate conversation about her private life in real life? It has also interested me over the years that M...

I am a senior age member, in my 70s, who has spent years of searching for the existence of mutual support groups, connectivity, reliable research, books and articles specific to the older female cohort. These don't exist. For those of us in this group, this is an additional layer of marginalisation ...

I have taken breaks from WP when the negativity and flaming here is in one of its "epidemic" phases. It is exhausting then even to read threads full of it, even when oneself is not the OP nor a poster there. The constant exposure to it can stress our physical, emotional and psychological e...

There are endemic issues in L and D, it must be acknowledged. The sniping there - continued by some posts in this thread - has been over-tolerated, in my view anyway. It seems to me ironic that Sweetleaf has never been one of the inveterate rule offenders there, yet is attacked even on an apology th...

I appreciate your capacity for reflection Sweetleaf, and you are one of those rare members who posts apologies when you consider that the right action. This is a fairly rare and valuable ability without which WP would be less than it is. We all make mistakes. Everyone. They are most likely to happen...

All lives do matter. You matter. No one is saying that only black lives matter, though I can understand that it may feel that way to you. Many members here share your concern about the various ways that autistic people are not treated as if they matter. We have all experienced it one way or another,...

Perhaps a few people reading this linked article might be tempted to reframe Mattis as some kind of dangerous closet liberal with antifa sympathies. But only a few I hope. Listen... Can you hear warning bells ringing? https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/06/james-mattis-denounces-trump-...
