Yes, I've noticed it, especially in the last 10 years or so. I've always had a low energy level but I realized about 5 years ago that I have the equivalent of about a half tank of gas. I can use it mentally or physically but when it's gone I run into confusion and lack of physical energy to do much...

Another thing: after I started taking B vitamins, I noticed the severe ringing in my ears is a lot quieter which is nice.

Yeah, I experience this a lot at work and at home when others are around. This might sound silly but as long as I remember to take B12 vitamins 3 times per day, it isn't as bad. It is still bad and I often have to come straight home from the office and lock myself in my room with no lights on for a ...

Yep. Acquaintances abound but deep, meaningful relationships are difficult to maintain. Sigh.

A question for NTs: I am apparently an attractive woman according to my NT and non-NT friends. That being said, men that I do not know are often interested in dating me. More than a few times, men have asked to be my "friend" and then after I agree to have coffee with them, etc., they try to kiss m...

I agree with fraac. Shoulding all over yourself will do no good. Take care of you first and everything else will work out. :)

There’s also a little guy in my eyes who shoots out and takes pictures of everything.” “There’s so much important stuff in my head. So many important maps about stuff.” I totally understand this, we notice everything all at once so it is like a guy taking pictures of everything. This can make you d...

FOR GHOSTAR: "I am just tired of people (men) expecting me to be someone that I am not." Ghostar, I've never actually met anybody I know for a fact who has AS, much less a female with AS. With this in mind, please tell me what you mean by the above. You've piqued my curiosity. What I mean is that I...

Matt, I can relate to pretty much all of your symptoms except for not liking sand to touch your skin. For me, sand is fine but i can't stand being wet. Being in water feels okay but once I am out, I want my skin totally dry. :) Anyway, relationships are really hard for people like us I have found. I...

I'm 27 and haven't been able to find a nice guy. I tried dating websites and they were all creepers. The guys I do know are in a relationship/married or just players. So I'm settling for loner. I am 31 and have been essentially single since I was 27. It isn't so bad...no one ever uses my Xbox, eats...

Regarding your question about AS people liking to be alone vs. in a relationship...I would have to say that most of us are simply indifferent. There are certainly people on the spectrum that want more than anything to be in love but there are many of us, like me, that find the effort necessary to ma...
