I’ve been able to since I was 5 or 6 years old. Learning to tie shoes correctly was one of my earliest special interests.

I rarely ever have meltdowns (shutdowns are more my thing these days) I’m about as far from a picky eater as one could be, thogh there are some things I don’t eat/drink, such as salad and anything containing alcohol. I love hanging out with friends, so I don’t fit the anti-social stereotype. I don’t...

You probably shouldn’t be eating in restaurants right now at all due to a certain virus that’s been going around since late 2019.

These came out last summer, and somehow I don’t think it’s made its way here yet. It makes me gravely concerned for the future of the Autism Rights Movement. https://morenikego.com/memo-to-asan-2021/ https://my-open-letter.com/2021/06/20/allegations-of-ethical-misconduct-made-against-ari-neeman-june...

Newsweek The internet defended a woman who allowed her child to curse at a woman while in the grocery store . . . This is how Toxic Males are made. Having to deal with toxic Karens? Not being discouraged from showing aggression and contempt toward women. Sometimes being assertive or even borderline...

I agree with a lot of comments here that the eldest child could have chosen better language (even “you dumb f***” would have been better as it lacks the mysogynistic connotation of the “female dog” word), though I’m still wholly on his side of things. That Karen needed to mind her own business. The ...

Alas, right now we are not in a good position to fight back. The Autistic Self-Advocacy Network seems to have shrunk during the past four years. They seem to have a lot fewer chapters/affiliates now than they had back in early 2018, when I began exploring autism online resources and the autistic co...

I got my license at age 20, and have been driving regularly since. Took me 3 tries to pass the test. I have a bike licence but not a car. I had four driving lessons and could not operate the clutch or properly control the vehicle. The other thing that didn't help was the instructor... he was a compl...

This is me right now; my brother and two of my four cousins are in relationships (the two cousins both married their girlfriends in the past year), and my (Autistic) best friend, who is currently single, had his first relationship while still in high school. And it seems like every woman around my a...

Canada, if you can get in, is a much better option than the craphole known as the USA. We hardly have any form of social safety net here. The only things we have to offer here are gargantuan medical bills and religious extremism.
