Monty, if I read that one article on maternal viral infection affecting the fetus, it wasn't the virus itself but the inflammation of the mother according to the researchers. And I'm holding out for more research on the maternal testosterone theory. I'm not sure if that one's going to hold up except...

Sartrescue, I think you're right. She did the Katie Couric interview, and she was paid for that. Because of the "Jerry Springer" attitude of some quarters, she's going to end up getting something for being something of a train wreck.

I hope it works out for the kids somehow.

Castration might slow your libido down, but from the stories I read about the harems (Middle and Far East), the eunuchs still were able to perform. There are stories of the Castrati in the seventeenth century who had grand amours, and functioned for the most part. It depends. But wow. But women have...

Changed, This sounds like a serious relationship. Is there any kind of workshop you two can go to together? Something where you two are learning how to be together? Why did she chose this particular conference/workshop? Is it because it's the only one of its kind? I really find these anti-AS groups ...

Actually this woman was reprimanded before for doing this. I would feel funny if a nurse asked if she could pray for me, and I was about to undergo a surgery. Would I get the care I needed if I told her no? Would she turn into a witch if I said no at a vulnerable point in my care? How insistant was ...

No, it's a socialism problem. The fact that the question of who is going to pay exists makes it one, as it shows that in our society we intend on making sure that someone pays. It's a matter of personal responsibility. Who should pay? The woman should pay, period. Anyone else who pays should only d...

Without a hubby, does she stand a chance at caring for all 14 of her brood? Without a father, does her brood stand a chance at a normal life? Even with a father. If she'd had them one or two at a time, and I would say just barely. They would still need extended family, and she's worn them out appar...

Fnord... {A lot of well-researched information, and well-reasoned opinions.} ... Metta. Well done. What you posted makes more sense than all the talking-head sound bites I've heard since the news broke. I'm still concerned that "Reproductive Rights" have not been fully codified into law. Some state...

And this 33 yo woman with 14 kids under 6 is going to take care of them how? The question of who is going to pay for the children is not a medical or a reproductive "rights" problem; it's a socialism problem. The correct answer--as tough and mean as it is to say--is: "That's not our problem." When ...

Fnord, Reproductive rights in this country do not mean a laissez faire hodgepodge of whatever. The second amendment quarantees the right to bear arms, yet we have limits on it. How many people are allowed an army of weapons in their rec room. The first amendment as well has limits-when that speech i...

I tend to buy things produced here in Western Europe. I've stopped buying Chinese goods for two reasons: 1. They are often very poor quality and break / fail quickly, especially tools or anything mechanical. 2. No food related products / toothpaste etc because of the risk of contamination. There ar...

You're right...I don't get why people have a big thing about things that aren't "natural" being bad. We're an advanced civilisation, amirite?! We can improve things for the better, in all areas of life. Because some people (like me) would rather have a pair of natural A-cups over the same pair arti...

Concerning your first sentence, I think the hippie movement is a good example of how a social movement can change what people consider attractive. If there were more natural women in advertising and the media, I think people's perceptions would change. And I don't see how a woman who modifies her n...

So you are complaining here about getting treated better then. The thing is men have to treat women differently than men because women are more sensitive and easier to upset. No, I want to be treated equally, like one of the guys. I know plenty of guys who are more sensitive and easier to ups...

when a woman hits a man and a cop sees it, it's assault, and where I'm from, her dumn ass will be arrested. Where are you from? Washington State. And given the different jobs I worked, saw it a lot. There was one incident the woman was stupid enough to call the cops on her boyfriend because after s...
