My goodness I love soap bars! It's one of my special interests! :D But you'll never see a drugstore soap bar (syndet) in my home. I only buy those handcrafted soap with natural ingredients and scented with essential oils. They're not harsh and very gentle on the skin. Never cracked if stored in a we...

Glad to hear it went well. It's possible to still have periods at 55, though pregnancy chance would be pretty much 0. Any of those celebrity people over 50 who got babies used donor eggs. I got horrible periods, too. They suggested Mirena but I figured I was 50 and it might stop soon. Anyway I manag...

Aw that's too bad. Well many public places here are scent free so I don't use perfume when I go to there. I do use them freely at home. I'm a sensory seeker (it's a valid type of autistic behavior, too). :) I just enjoy sniffing stuff. All my clothes and underwear are scented by either essential oil...

My only experience was visiting this one place when my dad was looking for an apartment. We didn't know it was subsidized. Only went because it's really close to his workplace. Once the manager opened the door we already knew he wouldn't want it. We persisted and went through with the tour. In the e...

Not me. I like wide open spaces and the freedom to move around. I must have got it from my mom. She always thought small rooms are suffocating. I do use pure wool blankets and enjoy their weighty feel. Can't stand down-filled stuff. They just don't feel "real" enough. :D

I found that it's very hard for me to process emotions. I'm naturally an act first, feel later kind. Sometimes it causes a lot of stress and affect my physical health. It's important to find ways to relax yourself and let the emotions out. For me music helps, also warm showers and meditation. During...

Good luck tomorrow! I don't know much about IUD. Is yours the kind that change your hormones? I know they can do some blood tests to determine if a woman is in menopause or not. I think the FSH should be very high or something. I think the "withdrawal" you dread is simply your hormones cha...

I like perfumes of all sorts. My favorites are mostly florals, though I do have a couple that smells like cakes and candies. :) Right now I'm using Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose. It's very strong but also very pleasant. I change my perfumes every season and for different activities. Like I have one I...

Just wondering if they checked your hormones? Some women can still have rather high estrogen level after menopause and that can cause breast pain. Also the kind of bra you've been wearing can be relevant. I've heard people complain before about bras from Victoria's Secrets being full of chemicals an...

Sure, I do that sometimes. One of my sons does it all the time at home. He can usually control himself to not do it in public. We're both extroverted. Are you an extrovert? I suspect that it's an adaptation for the need to share our thoughts but not having someone available or suitable to listen. Or...

I think it's kinda true. I don't fake too much and all the friends I attract seem to be strange in some way. :D They have some disability, or personality disorder or other issues they didn't share. A friend I met 25 years ago was just diagnose with autism a few years ago, after I was diagnosed, and ...

I don't have any embarrassing interests, just ordinary ones, but can't find anyone to share with either. i.e. I'm crazy for rocks, the earth and geology. I vividly remember when I was taking a class in college I got permission to study the rock samples in the lab late at night by myself. I told myse...

For autistics, I think my family count as non-picky. We would eat just about anything that's not on the allergy list. Bland, spicy, bitter, mushy, oily, whatever. If I overcook something nobody complains and just eat them up anyway. So it's definitely not "all" people, but probably quite c...

I'd take that as a compliment. I myself like men who aren't like other men as well. :D My husband doesn't talk much. It's only recently I found out that he thought most women are shallow, narcissistic fools. He thought few women still have honor and dignity today. (We were talking about our sons' po...

I wish I have someone who'd try to protect my feelings. :( My family have either introverts who don't say anything no matter what they think, or people who would blab their brains out whether you want to listen or not. To be honest though I don't spend much time with feelings. Most of the time I can...

In my early childhood (version one) I was a more typical autistic kid. Very quiet, sensitive and sickly. Didn't play with other children or had any friend. Very emotional, cried easily and had meltdowns. I drew pictures all day, of the same subject. Very picky eater, hardly ate much. I was very love...
